Much has been said.
Mostly how anarchy can never work, also a couple of posts regarding crime in anarchism
So discuss anarchy with me here rather than de-rail AHC thread.

But before you post your take on anarchism read this first:

A lot of those were actually pretty short-lived (3-20 years).  Some of the ones still in existence are, according to that article, not very anarchistic anymore, even though they used to be.

And once you get past the first main bullet list, it's just things that had some common qualities of anarchy - not anarchy itself.

Not necessarily.  They can be but they don't have to be.

Of course, true communism will likely lead to the Jamestown thing where more people take resources than give, and it all falls apart.

Or just dissolving slowly due to lack of interest.

We seem to be the most self-aware of them, though.  Humans are the only creatures known to be aware of a connection between babies being born and, well, sex.  We probably have the most complex reasoning of all animals on earth.  Unlike dogs, if we're punished 24 hours after we do what we're being punished for doing, and we are told what it is we are being punished for, we learn not to do that (or how we were caught and determine how to avoid being caught).
