The man who made infiniminer also did a whole bunch of other "games for engineers" over the last couple of days I've been playing through some of them, the most polished of which would have to be the codex of alchemical engineering (which keeps dragging me back, I will create the philosophers stone!). They're mostly hard, incredibly hard, some are nigh impossible without some knowledge of electronic engineering.

Some games in order of difficulty
Buereau of Steam Engineering
Alchemical Engineering
Ruckingeneur II (screw the first one it's just one level)
KOHCTPYKTOP - ENGINEER OF THE PEOPLE

Bah, I can't figure out how to get rifles to work in BSE, or how to get bonds with three atoms in alchemy.
I also don't particularly care about electronics, not understanding them enough to have any clue what Constructor and Ruckingener are supposed to do.

Alchemister was HARD.  Too hard for me.

The electronics games on the other hand...russian one seemed very boring, and the hacking ones were totally awesome but way too short!

Ruckingeneur has a community edition that includes a few more levels.
To get three or more bonds in alchemical engineering you bond another atom to an already bonded atom. You can rotate the compounds, just be careful where you're holding it.
Just wait for penultimate level, you have to bond eight atoms in a circle, something I have yet to accomplish myself.

Had a quick go of Steam which is fun (again can't get the gun to fire or the cannon to reload... YET!), but I'm currently now playing Alchemical Engineering.

This is going to keep my attention for a while.

First ten minutes of play I ate my loincloth and then got some limbs torn off by a super friendly rat. Thumbs up from me.

So I just managed to get the philosophers stone one done, my solution has three stages (which is to say it takes three loops through the programming to get the finished product)
Here's my solution for anyone that gets that far.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Now the mystery final level, that looks hard...
