Sorry, haven't played in a while, I forgot they could destroy grates too, luckily I was reminded of that before I ran into some of them XD.

Yikes, the Orcs have a nasty language.  Traditional foreplay would be right out for them; how would they ever "say my name" for one another?  No wonder Ocrs are always so bloodthirsty and violent, they're getting sub-par action.

i have an idea! i can pump the river up to the top of the mountain, make a pool and the Great Waterfall going all the way down.
then, i can sacrifice nobles, gobbos and - preferable - elves in that pool, so it will be the Great Bloody Waterfall of Doom.
and in the winter, because everything freezes, it will became the Great Frozen Bloody Waterfall of Doom

and yes, the map does have sand. i guess i can make glass windows to watch all the waterfall fun from the warm inside

If a unit is encased in ice, and the ice is mined out, what happens? Do you get a frozen corpse?

You do indeed get a corpse. However, if the ice melts, everything in that tile for all intents and purposes vanish. They can be seen on the z stocks screen, but cannot otherwise be interacted with. The only way to retrieve the stuff is to refreeze water on the spot into an ice wall and mine it out.

Want it to weep even more? Encase the tile in obsidian after the ice melts then mine it out and voila the stuff is back.

... Implying that if we could melt obsidian, the same would happen. Awesome.

what if you dig a river to a place where everything freezes, will it be half-frozen or something?

Dig down to the very bottom level and make a hollow tower to the top of the map over it, drop invaders down it.For bonus points, make an altar down at the bottom with a hole going down into a "clown's chasm" and drop invaders into said hole.BTW can any of the happy fun clowns fly?

This is pretty tall, but its not all that.  The tallest magma pipe was found at 150 z-levels by CobaltKobald, and I myself posted a 226 z-level map.

how could they be both *happy* and *fun* clowns at the same time, if they couldn't?
wiki says: "Demons are immune to stone-fall traps, weapon traps, cage traps and will destroy your doors and floodgates. At least some of them are able to fly and survive under water and magma. "
just like Ronald McDonald, i guess
