Yeah, Hoborobo - Take Maggarg's advice.

Not the stupid sarcastic part.
The part deeper underneath, which you can only get by reading into the gaps and silences of his post.

Don't hesitate. Every second you hesitate, you crumble your confidence more. Don't ask a friend to do it for you, it's your battle to face. A good way to do it is to psyche yourself up during the entire day (kind of like killing cows to get your blood up), and then confront her at the school gate. However, remember to act casual. When you've psyched for an entire day, you may find yourself going "Heyyy hows it going good I'm good so wanna go out, like, with me for real like?" Take it slow, take it easy, but don't hesitate. Seriously, for every second you spend in idle conversation, the more your resistance crumbles.
Commit yourself. If you've "already put on the war paint" then you can get through it a lot easier. A good way to do this is to simply ask to talk to her. Not alone, she'll take the hint for that enough. Lag behind her friends, and ask to talk to her. Once her friends start giggling, and she comes back to talk to you with a gigantic grin on your face, there isn't much else you can say - so say it.

That is obviously what Maggarg was trying to say. You just have to understand what he's saying behind his sarcastic and ironic exterior.

... He also likes eye of the tiger. A lot.

P.S. Are you actually taking in any of the advice we're giving you?

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Would you?

Asking for advice is not the same thing as committing yourself to follow it. And taking the step to asking a girl out is HARD. I've never done it, somehow I can make them ask me out through clever telepathy, but that only works for me, so don't take that as an advice, hobo.

Also, sorry if the word slut offended anyone, but in my book, it's a compliment.
Jude: been there, done that, they're all still good friends, of me and eachother.

I can't turn the sarcasmatron off. Not even when I give a presentation in school.

Also remember that every girl's crazy for a sharp dressed man. With or without cheap sunglasses.

From personal experience, I'd say girls today sorta enjoy someone who is'nt all too shy but not a clown either. Someone who can tell a joke when its appropriate, has an overall normal wardrobe, and can show some level of sensitiveness. The time of huge muscled men with Aqizzar-sized chin attracting girls of all ages is over, most of them today are either into this:

This:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This:

And sometimes this:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

But all that only helps on the first impression, just act like your normal self. I've met way too many guys that were pretty as hell, but sucked badly at maintaining an interesting conversation. Being pretty helps, but being an overall attractive person means being interesting both phisically, socially and mentally.

And thats the only marginably useful piece of sugestion I'll contribute with.

Oh yea, my personal experience comes from awkward moments I had with girls hitting on me from time to time, when they don't realize I'm not actualy into girls. I mean, woman? Ewwww.

Ok, disregard my previous post. More socialisation occured today, including something odd. When I was talking with her and helpful friend, she kept looking at me and grinning as with two posts or so ago, and Burts out: "Hey, Creedy (my name)" in the middle of conversation

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)

From my experience they are all into this.

I don't think I've ever met a girl who has said she isn't and I've met a lot who have said they are.

Every girl in the world thinks Johnny Depp is hot.  I don't really get it, he looks like some kind of monster.

I never got that either.  At best he's a poor (wo)man's Gary Oldman.  Honestly I think it's just because he wore heck of eye makeup in Pirates and women secretly love a man in drag.  Some not so secretly.

Wow, you're like the holy grail of girls.

Actually dragging up something from earlier in the thread how do you prefer people to address you? I don't like girl because it makes you sound about 12 whereas woman makes me think 40+ and female is too nerdy. So I have no idea what to call anyone in the 13-39 range.

At least in most parts of the US, "girl" can be practically ageless, depending on context.  But really, why does it matter?  I can't think of many situations on here where a tasteful person would want to make sweeping statements about Forum Females, exclusive of non-females.
