Heh, sorry if I came across snappy.  I just meant that if you and I differ in approach you're allowed to mod the mod, as it were.

This is awesome. Slight nitpick:

Stensons
that is not a real thing. I believe you're thinking of Stetsons. you know, the type of hat generally associated with cowfolks. In real life, the white ones are some kind of weave, and the black ones are felt. Just sayin'
EDIT: erm, it would appear that it's spelled correctly in the raws. Typo? N and T aren't even near each other...

Also, not that it matters, but Cowboy Corral TOTALLY sounds like gay porn.

I would make some mods, but they are all for me anyway.

The technical reason for this one is '5am and alcohol'.  In-game they're just referred to as 'cowboy hats' - white for dwarves, black for goblins.  I forsee some +leather white cowboy hats+ dyed bright blue, though.

I was hoping for the Mexicans building towns out of stone and sometimes wish to attack the Cowboys.

Yes, please do. I'd suggest you use Dwarves as the east-coast types, Goblins as the western Spanish, Kobolds as aztec/mexicans and Elves as Native Americans. Also, maybe the mod should be a bit more focused on above-ground building, so..more cactus/tree diversity? And get rid of the chasm-monsters and stuff?

That all sounds pretty much what I was going to do, though I was actually just going to rename the chasm-monster 'varmints'.

Also, does anyone know if you can force a civ to use stone weaponry?

 Actually, the idea of caves being randomly filled with bandits sounds great. Then semi-megabeasts can be gang leaders or something and mayors will have you take quests to kill them.
