If I was hosting, I would've set kill marks on the ones who voted.

Thus, while I was playing, I thought "let these fools risk their neck" and left.

I mean, if I truly thought it was THAT dangerous and cared about the town wouldn't I have sent a nice WOT explaining why voting for web might be a bad thing?

That's the cute thing about it, my survivor role made me not care for the town. My webadict switch made me want everyone wiped out. I would've joined the "let everyone win" situation but I wasn't of any mind to think it up at the time.

Besides, what fun would it be if everyone kept their vote on web all game?

The problem is, the Everyone Wins solution requires you to know how to pass the role, which the Webadict was not told.
