Do I sense sarcasm?

Nope; i'm quite serious.

Capitalism is all about competition. War is all about competition. There are differences of course, but the basic principles remain similar.

So maybe that's why I'm an anarchist? (yeah, the tribal kind. My pagan ancestors fended for themselves just fine without law)

This thread shows that if you are even a little less than normal you should never show it or you'll get discriminated.

Yep, welcome to reality.

If you're gonna be abnormal you have to do it properly and unthreateningly, if people sense weakness or danger in your abnormality, they'll dogpile you for it.

(...)I say that any form of government is good as long as people in it are happy.
I blame what's happening now on capitalism.
I'm afraid I won't find employment  :-\
Il Palazzo senses in this one a desire to return to the planned economy of real socialism. Il Palazzo is troubled by this one's desires(no gay pun intended).

I'm afraid you misunderstood.
I'm an anarchist. So I wish there was no government.
I have a friend that is obsessed with Stalin, but myself I don't like either socialism nor capitalism
and I don't like democracy that isn't direct either.

Sorry, but that is not entirely correct, I'm sorry to say.

(Not derailing this cake thread at all, for real!)
@Rooster:Why then, tell me about your ideas of anarchism. How would it help you find employment better(among other things)?

Capitalism isn't a government system, it's an economic system. In an anarchy people would most likely behave in a fairly capitalistic fashion.

Anarchy never lasts long; it goes against our nature. We're herd animals and we have billions of years of evolution telling us we should gather together in groups and follow a strong leader.

Hence why the concept of Monarchs is so hard to get rid of and so pervasive.

Yes, and tribes have always had laws, with quite brutal punishments to boot. If you rid the world of government more will just arise naturally over time.

Capitalism isn't a government system, it's an economic system. In an anarchy people would most likely behave in a fairly capitalistic fashion.

There isn't just one type of anarchy. Most anarchists are against capitalism.

Anarchy to me is a utopia like system in which there are no institutions other than groups based on family, nation etc. There are no institutions other than private ones and therefore no taxes, therefore no need for money to provide basic living, although it could be usefull for more advanced things. Now I know what you might think. The crime , the chaos. Anarchy isn't that. In anarchy people are supposed to help each other just because they can, and crime is dealt with on personal basis rather than courts etc.

@TheNewerMartianEmperor: I'm not against punishment on personal level, only on the law level. The tribal people were brutal, and very much so, but there were no rulers other than chosen leaders. You don't like the leader? Challenge him to a fight to the death.

Yeah, before some of the folks had a brilliant idea to behave in a mafia-like fashion.

There is a form of anarchy based on that if you want to know.

Anarchy never lasts long; it goes against our nature. We're herd animals and we have billions of years of evolution telling us we should gather together in groups and follow a strong leader.

I disagree. Monarchy wasn't there because we needed it. Monarchy was there because we allowed it. We need to form groups probably. But families are for that. Not tax collectors.

But they did have punishment on the law level. What do you think the oldest religions were for? Do this, lest you dishonor that, and we must exact tribute if you go on like this and so forth. They had other rulers, they were called priests. Besides, fighting for leadership in a purely physical trial is not very well-suited to the modern world.

You fail to understand that people are inherently paranoid. They clump together with those they like, and they rail against the others who don't share the qualities they like. This can take a multitude of forms, but it's a crucial part of human nature. They will gather more who are like them, and grow. This leads into bigger groups, that means that the leader can't do everything on their own, and they have to have subordinates, who also have power. You can see where this is going.

Also, people need a higher authority for law, otherwise the weak have no protection, the strong aren't lone wolves. They need others to enforce some kind of justice.

Anarchy (to me) seems far from a utopia. I'd see it as a place where people who arent in the right group, don't have the right qualities and don't look right are abused and killed. Want a slave? Find someone weaker than you and force them to be one. You might not do this, but there are plenty of people who would.
