3 and 7.

Only my quotes are mostly from The Princess Bride and Pirates of the Caribbean, so it's not like I'm quoting some amazing joke that I saw in Newsweek or something.

There is significant lag in the connection between my brain and my mouth. Usually, I'll say something that sounds funny, then about five seconds later, I'll be like "shit, that sounded really stupid."

My worst one was when a friend asked me what sexism was, and I replied "Sexism is like racism, only between people". He was Taiwanese. He went off.

Then I realised what I'd said.

Stuff which is overheard can often cause this.  After a brief and private discussion about mallard ducks, a friend of mine raised his voice slightly and accidentally broadcast this to the whole classroom:

I was in an another English class a while ago and the teacher asked "What do we call a society in which men have power over women?" and my friend muttered to me "A good one". Except everyone heard.
Ooh... Burn.
Did he get in much trouble?

I'm really quite funny in real life.

It's the delivery I'm working on. It's really shoddy.

I had a  worse one. In our History class, we were talking about the journal of Sir Francis Drake, and on one of the days he bought some 40 goats and just started sailing around. My teacher was being snide and said something like "Are there even girls on this boat or what?" At which point, without even realizing it, I went 'baaaaa meaaans nooooooo' in a sheep voice.

I don't mind crude jokes, but sexist or racist jokes bother me.  A lot.  Aside from that, fire away.

Unless it's a formal situation.  I wouldn't say a crude joke in front of the president, for example.
Now if I met Obama I would make the most racist joke I can think of. My opinion of him would be based solely on how he reacted with him laughing being the only good one.

Good luck with that.  There are some jokes that just can't be perceived as jokes to anyone other than a racist - in other words, you need to be really racist or the creator to think they're funny.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.

I have a suggestion for the list. The idea is as follows, but it will need some formatting and review to make it coherent and clear:

Some people are very bad about relating everything to themselves as if the only important factor of a conversation is how it relates to them. While relating yourself to the discussion is an essential part of conversation and is one of the few ways you can contribute, they fail to listen to what anyone else says, and thus often miss the point of the conversation and/or fail to keep up with what's being discussed. Story-toppers are one form of this.

This is truly a killjoy trait and I would argue it as a trait of a boring person, if only because it tends to end conversations and ruin social situations in general. Such people have all of the social symptoms of a boring person, even if they can be interesting themselves or have interesting things to relate.
