Alright, Animal Rights.

Animals do not, repeat, DO NOT, have the right to vote in an L+ utopia. They once did, when the L+ law was "Animals are people too", but it was then changed to "Animal expermention is banned".

However, if Animal Rights are L+, you can recruit/seduce animals to your cause. Previously, you could recruit/seduce/brainwash animals even if Animal Rights are not L+.

-The Computer is a cheating bastard: The CCS, your evil counterpart, not only ignores the police, army, and other liberals but also has access to some of the best equipment in the game that can only be obtained through the CCS.

I need someone to fix up that writing though.

Why was it changed? Half of re-enabling recruit/seduce animals at L+ was to be a sort of easter egg to go with the animals are people too line.

Or at least I remember that it was changed. Can somebody please take a screenshot or check the source code?

Though while we're focusing on the issue, let me take this moment to throw in an unasked-for 0.02$ that the "animals are things of inferior existence" line is wooden, unnatural, and to my ear incoherent. I can't really parse it more finely than that the speaker sorta looks down on them.

Well...

If "animals are people too"
AND "killing people is murder"
THEN: "Killing animals for food is murder"

So, the "animals are people too" is better than "eating meat is barbaric and outlawed".

Is there any tropes associated with the punishment for "Loitering"?

It would fall under the bigger trope of "Wrong Place, Wrong time", which would also cover:
-Safehouses attacked by CCS/Mercs/Angrymob/Agents where the occupants are all new members with no crimes committed
-Walking into a conservative site with the wrong disguise, getting spotted and shot

And probably many other things.

"Wrong place/right time" and "Right place/wrong time" would also relate to LCS, with "right time" probably refering to LCS kicking butt and "wrong time" refering to unexpectedly powerful Conservative defenses.

Now if you had no way of knowing what to do then it counts as "Trial and Error Gameplay"

Well, most new game players probably use "Trial and Error Gameplay".  I know I did.

And how does getting one's safehouse raided out of the blue count as player error?  Sometimes the raids come out of left field.
