Wait, how do we get the baron to stay in the room?
When you retire you just appear somewhere seemingly arbitrary in the town.

EDIT: I guess you could get companion, check your stats after the fight, kill yourself, and let the next dude make a new guy at the throne that matches the status.

From my experience, my adventurer always stayed in the same place. But I'll double check it right now. As well as trying to find a solution to the whole hostility thing.

EDIT: What if I was to mod the ethics in the "entity_default" file? Hmm... maybe I'll try that.

...Bah, it appears that not even a change in ethics and generation of a new world does anything.
I guess I'll just have to deal with having two separate sites...

Excuse me while I do some revisions here...

Changed rules and stuff. Everyone should definitely reread the posts at the beginning. And check out the awesome banner that I made.

I didn't know you could put bodies in coffins in adventure mode.

As far as I can tell, the coffin can't be a constructed building. You just put it in your inventory, pick up the body, and use [p] to put the body in the coffin, then you just drop the coffin.

I actually haven't tried it, but it should work in theory.

Which also means I can fill a coffin with food. Or water.
Or more coffins.

So what happened to arenas? Did something not work for that, logistically?

One question... If you are retiring, in a human town I imagine killing the first would automatically make you an enemy of the town/civ right? Well you wouldn't be able to retire then right? So that would mean you would have to move to a different town after every kill am I right?

Me too.  Although if you start a fortress directly on the town, it breaks it.  That may adversely affect retiring.

Wouldn't it be better to upload the save to DFFD?  And use PMs to send the game log?

The embark site is a 5x5, with the 3x3 town in the center. I haven't had any problems yet, but I will double-check just to make sure.

Sure. As long as the right person gets the save, and I get the gamelog.

In other news, I'll start on the site tonight. I have lots of scholarship applications and other stuff that needs to get done, but I hope to have everything ready by sometime on Friday.

I've put bodies in coffins when visiting an old fort before.  It seems to work, though I don't know if the coffins will stay where you leave them.  They probably will if made from iron.

Towns don't get broken. When you enter them, you have an option of entering either the fortress site, or the town site.
You can retire in the town site, but not the fortress site. So it only depends on which you choose to travel to.
