Long ago, we found Heaven...

yes, due to a one in a million chance, a small location was discovered with Every last aspect a Dwarf could EVER want! Magama, Bottomless Pits, Flux, Chasm, Spiders! and of course HFS!

Time has passed however, the years have gone by, one must ask, in all that time, what HAVE YOU done with this glorious Heaven?
Personally I have been in the middle of a long process turnign it into a Mega Fort, a glorious Fortress to be the center of Dwarf Society both above ground:



And Below ground:


When it is done my mega fort will be entirely self sufficient bellow ground, with large underground farms and massive Towercap areas for wood. Of course everyone else is More then welcome to post your OWN Screen caps or Archive links to what you have done to, Heaven!

Absolutely nothing, because I've been playing on the same map since before Dwarf Heaven was discovered.

Besides, my Unnecesarily High Tower wouldn't fit in Dwarf Heaven.

I looked at it, saw no flux or bauxite when generated with my mods, and ran away.  I'm afraid of clowns and my Dwarves can buy all the silk they want from the Mountainhome caravan.

basck in the original thread, linked at the top, theres a download, the one i used, where most of the map is made ofg MARBLE, plenty of flux there

He's using mods, though, and those have a tendency to change layer stones, probably turning all of the marble into something useless like phyllite or slate.

So far, i've not done much

I have managed to get a kickass dwarf who made himself artifact bone leggings

he then decided standard copper greaves are better

Aye, mods also seem to alter the locations of the underground features, in my experience.

The mods I use don't affect geography, but they do affect geology.  Since they sometimes result in flux where the vanilla has none, I assume the reverse can happen.  I could probably get the flux by using only the headers in my smelter file, and filling in the content after I generate the world.  I've noticed that just using the headers doesn't seem to affect the geology very much.

I still don't want to play with clowns or big spiders.

pff, the spiders a wuss, all you have to do is have a dwarf rush in, set up a bunch of cage traps, and evemntually youll get him.  I got lucky and caught him ponce when he was in the middle of the chasm,  I channeld a few stones which left him strandad and unable to get to me until I had him caught

Started a succession game on it. I took the second year, and rebuilt the trade depot with an elf drowner, started a forest fire and lost dwarves to it, collapsed a few isolated hillocks and lost dwarves to it, added guardrails to the chasm and lost dwarves to it, and was plagued by and lost dwarves to the giant bats.

I also started a fort on it for my own enjoyment, but ended up being slaughtered by Floofy the giant cave spider when a weaver aggroed it.

No one laugh, how do you use seeds to generate worlds? as I really want to use the Dwarf Fortress Heaven map and the wiki article is unclear.
