Much better Xen!

Also judging by your visual perhaps your a bit too early in development unless your specifically asking for help.

Again, if there's actually a problem, don't just call each other assholes and stuff.  Report it with the moderator button.  Also, please seek clarifications nicely instead of being quick to escalate into the Trouble Zone.

If somebody's writing a game without infringing on another game's title and that doesn't otherwise use a lot of copyrighted text or something, that should be a good thing.  Now that things have been moved and relabeled, hopefully everything can settle down in here.

you can now change the view (top down, side on, bottom on)
am just working on a script that grows foliage/trees at the moment, dependent of above/below ground, biome, etc

various soil types around, and stone to mine. movement works in all 6 directions. if you walk off of a cliff you will fall right to the bottom!

So... how fast does the game play?

because obviously you can't have 10 people in a game, 9 of whom are waiting on one person to make their move so they can all take their turn.

You've never played Toribash?

it plays real time, no moves or anything

so you and a friend or 20 could be carving out a fortress togetherand it would all be 'happening'

Sounds like lag might be a problem.

ok, i've just finished a basic inventory and equiping system

also done basic mining, so youd equip a pickaxe into slot a, then use it in a particular direction to mine that square

edit: you can also press L to look around (shows you what the current tile is, who and what is around you)

and pressing o brings up a list of your skills, if you have any

Now that we have the distrust out of the way, it actually sounds like a promising game -like wurm but faster

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...
It should be pretty fun though.

Hmm, for the pacing, realtime vs. turn based, I got a great idea for a hybrid solution: Basicaly, have it set turs, but each turn is a few seconds (say 5 or 3) and change simultaneusly. That  means player will be rougthly of equal speed, but you wont have to wait for other players. It also means you have just about the right amount of time to select any action every turn.
