I merely stated that IF there would be a reason to kill people to stop the above problems, four lives could be saved by taking an american instead of five mediocre world citizens.
Wait, wait, wait. Are you saying that by killing five "world citizens" (Americans are citizens of the world as well but that's not the point) you would save four lives? Or are you saying that five non-Americans die for every American that doesn't die? In which case, that's a poorly worded statement. Forgetting the issues in language, that's still an incredibly stupid statement. If you kill one American, the resources they would have consumed don't immediately go to the third world, the community they belonged to would slightly raise individual consumption due to the free resources floating around, which have become marginally more available, or the resources would just go to waste. Either way, I'm kind of sick of the argument that Americans are sucking up the world's resources and therefore if America was destroyed it would be good because poor people would have more food. First of all, killing one innocent person to save another is never justifiable. Second of all, America isn't just one massive consumer, they provide huge amounts to the world as well, without the US, the world would be a much worse place.
I have not stated any of these statements, I merely stated that the energy consumed by an american citizen is 5 times the amount used by a mediocre world citizen.

You still could've phrased that more politely.

Correct, at times I wish I was better at that.

I don't think Canada is the intended target, given that America in general still leaves room for South America, and as I recall, they don't really consume too heavily of anything. Also, similair to what Stany said, if you needed to reduce power usage, killing out all of America reduces alot of power production too, so the same amount of energy will still be available to the same people. Plus, we made baconnaise, so the whole world owes us one.

my only question to your statement would be,how exactly would you essentially try and wipe out America and succeed? and,why would you want to to begin with? sure "insert third-world country here" uses less power, probably because it has less people and less technology available to it's citizens.
have to say though, going from halloween to mass genocide, furthest derail i have seen.

also, consider this fact: in this day and age, with the nuclear bomb being, obviously,a lesser threat in general since nobody is willing to use it in standard war, people forget about it. but, faced with total annihalation, any country with nukes would launch them, others would launch theirs, and the world would be gone in an instant.

if we go,the world goes with us.

To steer away the conversation from a massive flame war between people who have issues with America and people can't give a proper reply about it other than threats, I'm gonna get back on the rails.

It was exactly one year ago on Halloween that we moved into our current house. For years we lived in apartments, and nowhere in the lifetime of any of the children of our family have our parents ever owned a house. We own this house. The way I see it we will be having a celebration on Hallows eve, but for a different reason.

How's everyone feel about Halloween being on a Saturday this year?
Now I don't have an excuse to stay home from school the next day.

I dislike the fact it is so, since it is nothing big around here it happens on small party's, with the 31th happening on a saturday now means that all parties will be then, sadly.

Also, you guys make me smile, I simply stated that an american uses 5 times the power as an average world citizen, and joked about Sofy possibly massacaring some Americans on Halloween. And you guys make it into a giant genocide derail :D I love this.
