I'm not sure what gave you the impression that anything in adventure mode is easy.  Or possible. In short, no, not that I know of.

They tell you that you are awesome and then forget it ever happened.  If you want to find him again anyway just keep looking for what seems and probably is a decade and hope you run into him.

Any easy way of finding quest-givers after you've completed their quest?

Only take quests from human towns (or possibly elves).

Elves don't even have any buildings for their leaders to hang around.

In Dwarven Mountainhomes, the leaders should be near the bottom level of the fort, but I may be mistaken.

-fighting Rhesus Macaques outside
-dead next to a group of Rhesus Macaques
-outside near the fortress
-in the plaza on the top of the fortress
-in a room on the first level of the fortress
-in the hallways of the fortress
-in a room on the second level of the fortress
-in a room on the third level of the fortress
-in the basement of the fortress
-dead in the basement of the fortress
-dead and in my inventory
-dead and flying through the air at the hands of a legendary thrower
-in magma
