I basically watched Nova as a kid, and that was it. Oh, and Cosmos. Discovery and History channel when we went over to our grandparents (they had cable). Then, we moved, suddenly got Fox, and I watched every single episode of Beast Wars ever maaade.

You sir win the internet. Because Beast Wars is so cool, and I'm watching it right now.

Classic shows eh?

I've been around since the Real Ghostbusters era. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Raphael being one of my favorite characters), and quite a few other shows that friggin' MADE Saturday Morning cartoons what they were.

I've been around since the days that Nickelodeon was still worth watching. I mean, even Nick Jr. had David the Gnome, Rocky and Bullwinkle (actually just before Nick Jr. broadcasted), and even Noozles (which, to my surprise, I found out, was the first anime I ever watched. I didn't know at the time it was an anime.).

There's too much to reminisce about, so I'm just going to list shows off the top of my head, and the channels I think I last remember seeing them on.

I have to agree on this.

Even as adults (mostly you, I still have a couple of years to adulthood)
We remember shows and films that can still be watched and rewatched to our amusement.
Sadly the media underestimate the inteligence and mental capabilities of children today.
This wasn't the case back when we were young.

So I have a challenge for anybody: Find a cartoon or anime or anything aimed at children yet keeping up the good work from when we were children.
Seriously even transformers aren't aimed at children now. I'm depressed.

Gatomon so badly rocks!

Gabumon was the best, cheeyah.
And all his evolutions were badass.

As a kid I always found Digimon better and more mature than Pokemon, and with much cooler monsters.
Plus a much better storyline.

Gabumon was cool, but Gatomon rocked way over that, plus... raawwr.

If anything Digimon was better because it had cuter girls. :3

Wich reminds me, Gatomon also had a better master ^^ (At least in the second season)

What I liked about Digimon over Pokemon was that the transformations (Digivolve?) were temporary. It's like, "Aww, look at the cute little... OHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT"

My little cousin is visiting, and we went to the park today.

Turns out she didn't want to go on the slide, but wanted me to go on the slide.  It was difficult to get my 6 foot frame around a childrens piece of play equipment, also helping her around, but damn if it didn't bring back memories...

I went on one of the springy things. They're made for people about a quarter of my weight. This meant I was rolling around in an amusing fashion.
