Does anyone remember Art Attack?
That was my favorite show when I was three. Used to watch it every day.

Jesus.  I did not need this thread.  I hate nostalgia, reminds of all the time I wasted as a kid watching TV.  Childhood for me?  Salute Your Shorts, Super Mario 2, the Gulf War, and Sonic comicbooks.  Oh yeah, and more Legos than I ever thought I could lose.  Too bad I was wrong.

Gumby.

What's that?

What planet did you grow up on?

I think it was before his time.

Also I just remembered something, the old EA (Something) Strike series. Those were awesome.

Ah... my childhood. Sweet, young days of innocence...
Making girls scream and cry...
The Ol' Hours of Starcraft...

God I wish I was 5 again.

Hell yeah!  That and Castlevania 2 were some of my favorites back then.  For two players, we were all about the Bubble Bobble at my house.

I'm probably the only forum member that grew up on anime. When I was a kid, none of the Arabic countries could produce their own cartoons, and no one wanted to be assossciated with "the West", so translators took anime and dubbed it to be watched here. I still remember watching Detective Conan and Kimba the White Lion. Warner Bros and Disney also had a scene, but I only cared about Aladin, Darkwing duck and the loony toons.

As for videogames: Starcraft, Bubsy, Mortal Combat, Street Fighter, Legend of Mana, Worms 2, FFVII, Runescape, Xenogears, Brave Fencer Musashi, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Mario 64, Kirby 64, Super Smash Bros., Goldeneye, Dynasty Warriors 2 & 3, Metal Gear Solid, Spiderman (on the ps1), Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.

Xenogears was an awesome game.
Too bad my 2nd cd wasn't working.
I would have completed it otherwise.

Anyone remember Pokemon? Oldschool Pokemon?
When I was ten, my friends and I would ditch church so that we could hide in the bushes and trade Pokemon cards.

I still play the games, actually. My little brother got me into competitive battling on the DS versions.
Some of my friends tell me that I'm too old for that kind of thing. On the other hand, I grew up with Pokemon, and I don't think I'll ever "grow out of it."

Anyone else remember the TV show SD Gundam?

I remember.  I remember when Pokemon was brand new, and we'd get to watch a few minutes of the then brand new show in school waiting for the day to end.  I remember when the card game came out.  I remember making like $20 when I traded forward some foil-backed things.  (I've never played the game, nor have I any idea how to play it, so don't judge me.  I did it for the money.)

Likewise, I remember when Toonami was the big new thing, hosted by Moltar when Space Ghost Coast to Coast was still on the air.  SD Gundam was fairly cool in it's own, super-melodramatic way, but I lost interest.

Oh, quick grammer warning: The plural of Lego is not Legos. Like the plural of sheep is not sheeps. Its just Lego. Lego's sound so dumb it actually hurts the child center of my brain.

Edit: THE FUCKING MOOMINS!

Even the LEGO company says LEGOs for the plural.  I know.  This year is the only year of my life that I didn't get a subscription to their magazine since I could read.

And this is how tinned food was invented.
Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

I'm Asian. Spent some of my childhood in Asia.  :P

Now I'm so bemused at this everything-asian craze around the States.

Oh shit, I forgot - The original Dragon Ball! I loved that show, back when I was a wee lad. Wouldn't say I "grew up on anime" though.
