Hey, because of the Exploration games thread I found this little game. It's... Well It's awesome. To me anyway, always wanted to explore space. Anyone else playing?

Oh, also random screenshots.


First planet I visited, Made of Quartz and had lots of... Quartz... Not very remarkable.




The plantet and star I am at at the time of this writing, it's orbiting a runaway star and has RINGS! One is rare enough, but rings too?


Looks... Interesting on the surface...

how do you get this running under Windows XP 64-bit?

Run noctis DW, it's a diffrent executable that should of installed. (Assuming you have Noctis IV CE)

N6ct5s 5s WAAAY overrated if you ask me. Do you really find it fun? I just cant get into exploring procedurally generated fictional star system with no real goal. Its kinda like watching a RNG roll six-sided dice over and over again, but your watching the results in a crappy 3d interface.

maybe im missing something? I really wanted to like it.

Hey I enjoy it, but I love space exploration so that could help. I wouldn't call it overrated though given it's still fairly obscure to be honest.

You might wanna try Obiter then Ductape, it's in the solar system and more sim-like.

I LOVE Noctis. But it's a love it or hate it game. Either the unusual but strangely pretty (at times) graphics charm you and the prospect of exploring infinite space with no goal relaxes you, or you just find it dull and pointless. I am of the former.

Out of curiosity, what games DO you like, ductape? I'm curious what sort of chaps don't like games like this.

Oh my... I found my first earth like planet, it's a moon no less too.

On the surface... I don't think these colors are normal... Heh.

Oh man, that looks awesome. @_@ Finding them is fun but in terms of exploring, the least earth-like planets tend to be the most spectacular.

What freaks me out about this system is the absolutely MASSIVE amount of moons here. Like 27 in total spread across 5 or so planets. That moon I was on also had MASSIVE amounts of Taiga on it, with only some greenery in the middle, I think I'm gonna check that out in a bit.

Posting again because I went sightseeing on that planet again, wow these colors are freaky...


The Taiga is so incredibly blue, it's like. Mindblowing.




Also this looked awesome and I was in JUST the right place and time to see it.



There was a few desert areas suprisingly, and they had freaky white cactus things.

I visited the coastline too, the water was somewhat more normal.



Though I have no idea what these things are... There was a lot near that area.

This sounds suspiciously like the Sol system.

I don't think we have any moons with WHITE CACTI OF DOOOM...

Or something, not sure what those are.

 But we do have a ton of moons.
 And we don't know what is on the surface of many of these moons. We might find green triangles on some of their liquid-nitrogen shores.

Planet 5 has 19 MOONS... Holy shit. And four are earth like!
