Hmmm... in retrospect, Theevilmonk ought to have given a better description than a three word sentence. No point in being too vague, so I'll have him do his turn again. Akroma did get the message, but that must have been the problem.

...But it's a name... How long does a name have to be?

Unless it was something like "duck eats moose." That's not a name. That's a description. A better name would be "QuackQuack, Eater of Moose."

I'd ask brother Maynard for help.

The problem was that there was only a name. No description of the Artifact whatsoever.

then you should have specified what one was supposed to do more accurately, i was running solely off Names to run from really quickly

I was under the impression it was only a name, otherwise whats the point

Yea, the idea was just using a name as a description. :/ The most loosely-connected round ever.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

No, the round was describe it like an artifact.

...No, the round is "names to run away from really quickly". So "Jelly Potholes the Unscrupulous" would be appropriate. "This is Jelly Potholes the Unscrupulous. It menaces with iron spikes." would be fine too, if there are indeed spikes of iron. But "This is Jelly Potholes the Unscrupulous, menacing with iron spikes. It is being defended by Jojo the Cocoa Bean, menacing with bands of steel." is way too much.

You're naming something (a picture, perhaps). You aren't describing it. Describing it is for normal rounds.

If there's quite a few things in it, then you might want to name it like a place in DF. So the "Bloody Wind-Plains of Cathorn" might be applicable for a battle scene taking place on a gusty plain. If it's a scene of a dwarf drinking at a table, then you might want to name the place the dwarf and table are in. Something simple like the Bloody Alehouse of Yore. If it's just a goblet, then you might want to name it something befitting an artifact goblet.

Of course, my examples are crappy and hastily made, but hopefully you get the general idea.

The problem was also my... undescribable starting image...  :D But perhaps we should include Zai's definition with the next time a round like that is held...

If I can somehow fit an entire mafia into 11 days. Disconcerting when some can last over 3 weeks.

Okay, there is a giant elephant in this thread, and its name is procrastination on various levels. Either the current turn gets done in some form or another by Thursday, or I abandon this thread untill the Eid holiday is over.
