Right, will download after class.

Edit: 20 minutes of downloading left, someone's locking down my ip...we'll see if I can get this turn done by the weekend.

Edit2: I have possessed a kitten.

There is a great deal of prior-designated mining. I see no harm in it thus far. I have reassigned the broker and am attempting to release the ironically imprisoned sheriff.

Edit3: Nevermind, he went berserk, and was splattered against a wall in short order.

Edit4: Yes! A turtle bone coffin! This is my first artifact coffin ever. I will place in in the middle of the hallway for all to contemplate.

Migrants:
Glassmaker
Ranger
6 Peasants
Butcher
2 Animal Trainers
Animal Dissector
Armorsmith
Metalsmith
Child
Woodcutter
Potash Maker
Fish Dissector
Craftscat
Engraver
Mason
Thresher (so useless...)
Pets: 3 horses, cat

For a total of 22.

Will have to wait...

For the training, how long do you plan to let's them train. Imo, their as dangerous for them self with no weapon than with a small pike or anything else. But they'll be far more dangerous for enemy with a weapon than none. Should think to switch to weapon training if anyways their hurt them self pretty much.

Think that the next update will change a good deal with cat. In the last thing to do, is a: fix the cat bug. Except possessing dwarf and sploding like no tomorrow I don't see bug with cat in the actual version...

Ok, turn over. Uploading save. Fortress value went from 32,000 to ~750,000 thanks to some artifacts.

Built mayoral quarters, own tomb (I chose the new broker as my avatar), storage areas, and a new foundry, because at the rate the "cat-piss" area is filling up, it'll be finished by turn 20. Increased the size of the military, and made some armor. Bound hotkeys to f1-f5. Not much else otherwise. Enemies surprisingly peaceful except for giant eagle attacks. Recruits keep suffering brain damage because without magma forges online I can only afford leather and bone (albeit masterpiece), which makes switching to weapons pretty pointless and dangerous.

The Foodmaster got married, and is now the mayor.

Regrettably, didn't realize what the brook pipeline project was until too late.

Full write-up coming tomorrow. I took some screens.

Save:
[Damn this file is big. I'm not sure when the upload will finish]
[I tried three times to upload the save to the dffd, but each time it failed after an hour of loading. I give up and will try again tomorrow.]

Yeah, I think the problem is that the world has a freaking lot of units in it. If dffd keeps failing, maybe some less reputable file hosting server would work?

Eitherway, good job doing it so quickly. Kill any dwarves?

Or Filefront. Anyways, yeah the save is a little heavy, but we could live with it?

I sure hope so. Cats are badass.
Also, I'll note that I'm working on another version, which I might release sometime vaguely soon-sh (but not after Screamtortures has made some progress). Among other things, it seems to have a more normal worldgen, with less tendency to have several hundred thousand units living after worldgen.
Also, I'm giving cats babysnatcher, which means that (a) Goblins will not be hostile, and will in fact send caravans pretty much every season, and since they often carry meat and leather they can be very important trading partners, and (b) everybody else will start hostile. So, if you amass enough wealth to hit the first trigger, you will be sieged by 16 dwarves in autumn. In my test fort, in which I'm building everything out of wood, with leather-clad wrestlers & markscats only (almost), I got sieged when my palisade was about 3/4 finished. Hurriedly sent my miner to dig channels around the rest, which since it was soil thankfully finished in time - I was really sweating though!
After which I promptly stationed my markscat on the wall and ventilated them until they left. I'm so proud of my survival.

I may even do a community fort in this style at some point. Lots of death.

Actually, in the DD mixed mod I play, I have one living cat useful, the other is resting, and orc sieged me  ;D

Good thing, actually, cat should be see as the bad ass. You should just get rid of the eating corpse, so they will actually war more with elf :D And if they do war more often, that'll reduce living unit. I have a 200 year old world, 16k of living unit, roughly 14k of Cats, 3 giant empire taking half the map by them self.

For training in the weapon, even if dagger are quit weak, we should go for them, as the fallowing of the conversation in SG. Dagger are sword just weaker and tinier. And I like more the image of a Cat walking on two leg with a dagger behind a dwarf or something else in the same taste.

Cats go to war with elves already. Over "Truthfulness" or garbage like that.
But in the next version, since they'll be "babysnatcher" everybody will be hostile - which, as you mentioned, keeps the population down.
Daggers are probably my favorite cat weapon too; my Cat Splosion 1.03 fort has an entire family (up to 12 children already!) that all use them. All in the same squad, too.
And, by the way, cats hold their weapons in their mouths. I imagine they sometimes put one paw behind the hilt for support, but it's mostly neck power. If you wanted sense, you wouldn't play as cats. :P

Ok, I have the save:
http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1593

I will do the write-up a bit later, but the important stuff is already included in my previous posts.

There was no military action at all during my turn. But autumn and another chance for dwarf sieging is coming up. Good luck to ACP!

The proper solution to a dwarf siege is to bum rush them with leather-clad wrestlers.

By which I mean, use traps and markscats until you have decent weapons and armor, oh god.

Have you had any success with war dogs in the past? Accumulating a breeding stock of two dozen or so should allow you to expend quite a few dogs on every siege and still have the ability to breed more.
