I think losing stars shouldn't be permanent: if you've shown perfect attendence for a long while then what you've done a year ago shouldn't damn you forever.

Yeah, I know. But I don't have the free time to go back through old games. But if someone's feeling charitable, all the DF Mafias, Mind & Magic Mafias, Alien Mafias, Third-World Mafia, Make-Your-Own Mafia, Where Are The Doppelgangers?, and even Mafia Game (starting Jan 30, 2009, last post Feb 26, 2009) all still need to be recorded. Basically, a lot of the back page games.

I'm thinking about having a policy of requiring people to have at least 2 or 3 karma to join my games, since I tend towards crazy setups, bastard mod, etc., that require a very active playerbase.

I'd honestly require a bit more than that, Pandarsenic.  2-3 karma doesn't mean that much in the grand scheme of things.

I know, but 2-3 karma does mean they have enough experience with the basic principles of Mafia that they have a chance at adapting to how I toy with the game.

I'm thinking 3 would be good because that makes enough experience for 1 Beginner Mafia game and 1 other game before they end up in, say, KWN Mafia II.

Yeah, but a lot of people don't play in a BM before they hit the real thing, and sometimes the BM doesn't do much to help (currently thinking about ExKirby and Org).
