Hey, Sofia. Is this stuff all volunteer work?

And what kind of school is it? I've been to two different schools. In one, when i got my arm sliced open by a pair of ... kids, they didn't have a school nurse. I had to go to the hospital.
In the other one, we have two nurses on full time, who deal with everything from a boo-boo to a broken arm.

... Come to think of it, I've had a shitload of diversity in my educational history.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

... What is it with violence in schools these days? earlier today I had to treat two kids for superficial knife wounds. And another one had to be sent to the hospital...  :'(

At least I hear they caught the little bastard that was causing trouble. But I'm still worried about Chrissie if this kind of stuff is happening...
Ugh... I'm glad that thing doesn't tend to happen at my school, although I'm sure it does in some areas of the country.  One of the worst parts is the guy probably did it just to show off.

It's a school nurse. Those guys are the deadbeat children of high-end educational people who want them to have a position they can't possibly fail.
That reminds me, one of my friends almost died due to a negligent nurse. If someone's stomach hurts, you do not tell the to eat something before coming back, nor do you turn them away the second time. Turns out he had appendicitis.

And yeah, friends of mine have been to public schools where everyone practically showed up stoned and drunk. One of them was stabbed by a friend of hers, and was patched up by the assailent's mom, who was a nurse so as not to get into trouble. Another of my friends moved here after her parents decided that their entire neighborhood was not safe. I think her getting shot might have been the red flag.

Bah, I'm only eighteen and I'm already going on random tangents. At this rate, I'll turn senile in two more years.

Hippoman...
TVTropes is weird.
It's sort of... fun, I guess. But it uses a lot of time. I don't visit it much any more... sometimes I just don't find it amusing enough to read.
But if you have an addictive personality, you probably shouldn't read it, because it's pretty addicting. On the other hand, if you have strong self-control, you can read it until you get bored and then leave. Which will amuse you, which is good. Bertrand Russell purportedly said something like "Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted"...

This Bastard refuses to be acknowledged by my computer. Now a much-needed device for the games I play is disabled as this thing doesn't work. I put it into a working USB slot and nothing happens. Checking my USB slots reveals that they don't recognize anything hooked up to the slots. It is as if nothing is there.

Seems like I'll have to replace this $30 thing just to use this controller. And it just died one day overnight with no external damage shown. So I removed the software and looked for the CD...
And it appears that the box with the CD was thrown away. Great. Thankfully drivers are available online, but they don't fix the problem.
