I'm going away for a week tomorrow.

Some would say "co-incidentally perfect timing"

I would say "... co-incidentally perfect timing."

Still gonna miss here though. These people are fun.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

If its any consolation I sometimes cut up my mouth and get these sores from chewing on plastic.
Heh, i do that too.

It's generally spare sprues from my Warhammer stuff, nothing important, just the frame that holds the parts together in the box.

It isn't that I've moved to somewhere new, but that I graduated and my parents think that sending me to the Petroleum Institute so that I don't have to move was a great idea.

It really wasn't, and I sure as hell don't want to be an engineer in the petrol industry, and I can't afford to leave home and start working because of the absurd rent prices. It really doesn't help that this is an institution that thinks segregating the sexes is a great idea because it stops sex from happening, when it just puts guys into a situation where there isn't anyone to impress and they turn into children. Nor does it help that everyone is a soccer nut to the point where I have to deal with the noise created by two people and six spectators playing FIFA on the PS3 that someone brings to the breakroom, as well as the almost zealous foosball table that can have ten people screaming. Half the lessons I'm forced to take either spend too much time on mundane processes that would take a literate monkey ten seconds to cover, or on stuff I already know.

It really doesn't help that I'm a fish out of water. It really doesn't help that everyone puts gays and jews on the same level as murderes and rapists. It doesn't help that nobody questions this.

I just want this charade to end, because I'm not gaining anything out of it but misery.

Woke up to discover I only have 2 hours to get ready for work. (Less than an hour now)

At least I got most of my morning routine already done. Now to actually get ready for work. It seems reading the news and some posts isn't as enjoyable when you have to speed-read through it all.

If I lived in a secular family I might, but I don't. Suffice to say, my mother would burn me alive so that I would know what hell feels like if she ever reads that. She has used that threat after telling me I was free to choose whatever religion I wished to when I stopped going to the mosque.

Saying that my family is dysfunctional would just be the tip of the iceburg.

I assume a college trained engineering position in the petroleum industry pays fairly well.  Saving up, how long would have to keep working there before you have enough money to move out and look for a another job?

Arn't there laws and/or social institutions to prevent that kind of thing from happening?
Like, anti discrimination or freedom of religion or something?
