I think just reading through this thread alone made me feel sad :'(

Even though I'm reasonably new here, and therefore don't know most of the people here, I still feel sad for the bad things that happen to people, and for Sofia being ill...

Also my Grand-Father died in his sleep recently, it was rather sad, especially the funeral. I met distant relatives and old friends of his, there were a lot of people. He was a nice guy.
The worst thing about it though, was how people didn't show how sad they actually were. Everyone was milling around and making small talk, chatting about unimportant things, all to disguise their own feelings. There were the odd few who showed it, those who genuinely understood. Most of them were elderly, which is also rather sad. Something along the lines of "Only those who have experienced life, and are near to the end of it, can truly appreciate it."

I find just looking through cute pictures helps me. I have several folders on my hard drive filled for just such purposes.
Now if you will kindly excuse me, I must search google for pictures of kittens, prarie dogs and small fuzzy animals, before I start feeling depressed / existential.
Also this post may have been slightly influenced by 'Our Town', which I finished reading today.

Oh bullshit. If I was to vanish everyone would forget me in a week. Month tops.

Sorry everyone else, but honestly... you're the only person I -would- really miss, were the forums to collapse and everyone be separated. :c I wish I could get to know you better, but I'm much too awkward and shy for that.

Indonesian War Minister got banned. Thing is, I can't bring myself to feel any emotion either way, and that makes me sad. I feel like an asshole.

May you move on to better things, IWM.

I feel enough emotions for the both of us, and they're not the kind that belong in this thread either.

... Your meaning eludes me as, while one of those is true, the other is not, and neither are anywhere near as serious impediments as the awkward shyness.

Anyway, this is derailment.

I'se now sad 'cause I feel as though my intent has been misconstrued.

What I mean is, if I were old enough and had the money, I'd make a trip out to catch up with Sofia.

'Course, I'd still be like 6-9 years younger than her, but whatever.

Wouldn't it be awesome if everyone who wants to do this showed up at once.  That would drive the point home, I think.

And then Armok would try and glomp her and get his ass beat and we'd all look embarrassed and presumably get invited inside for drinks.

Or you'd all realize how utterly creepy this is, on all sides.

Getting away from that conversation...

I'm sad that I'm the only person on the board who wants to talk about Arkham Asylum.  Philistines, all of you.

Friend got a DWI tonight.  If I hadn't slept so late I could have gone with and been a DD. :(
