It's animal behaviour. A subject I find... interesting enough. It's just that module, not the whole course. Every other subject's fine.

Some people are just grating, can't be helped. The actual class is now on patience

I had a sociology lecturer who sent me to sleep.

Admittedly that could also be because it was the first class of the morning after a 90-minute bus journey.

Worst I had on that front was... earth science, I think it was? Some general ed req like that, first semester or two after high school. The room was consistently nice and cool, the teacher wasn't super engaging (though they were okay in a more general sense, really) on top of going into the class basically already knowing the material (it was barely above high school science), and there was something going on with the lights that made a sort of hypnotic buzzing noise. Made me drowsy as all hell. Don't think I ever actually fell asleep, but it came close.

When I was in high schools we had a science teacher that had the most annoying way of "teaching" in which we had to take several pages of notes a day with every now and then there was a test that had something to do with the notes and that's was the class, god I hated that class and I don't remember a damned thing about the class, I mean sure I wrote everything down but I didn't learn anything in the class just how to take notes.

My dad went into the ICU about a week ago. It's been pretty stressful. He's been getting better, then getting worse, then getting better again, and I've only been able to go in and see him twice.

I've helped out a bit with chores at my dad's place, and grabbed some of my stuff that was just taking up their space. It's the least I can do.

No, I've had grating before. At the last uni the herpetology module was run by someone who had the most horrifically boring and dry lectures. It was the learning equivalent of sensory deprivation. They were a struggle to get through.

These ones leave me feeling down all day afterwards. The lecturer's just super outgoing and high energy and treats everyone else as if they are too. I, meanwhile, am practically the opposite. Also the other people in the class are way younger than me so I really can't socialise well with them.

When I was in junior middle school I had a severe English teacher , he is so severe  that when I had his classes , I was so afraid that I could not get into even a tiny nap , rumors about him also spread that there was a student who once got him very angry , so angry that he even want to throw him down from the floor 5 , however 4 other witnessed teacher stopped him .By the way , he is also a worker of poverty alleviation through education  ,who teached us about 400 kilometers away from his family , being separated from his wife and children .

How could I describe him specifically ? The answer is the cheetah , for he is very thin but strong . Once upon a time , he got his both two legs broken down when he was go downstairs , however it was the time when his students would get the exam which can determine what high school they can enter , the enrolment rate between my hometown 's high schools can differ very large , I could say that the junior middle school you entered can largely determine what high school you entered and even what university you would enter , he is a teacher who is accountable to students

It is so amazing that he only uses 10% of his class time to help you get knowledge , during the other 90% of his class time , he was just babbling , but that is so interesting that I benefited from his babbling very much , such as the interesting but miserable story of the Waterloo Bridge , the ear-catching experience when he was a translator of a boss in a company and the romantic history between him and the foreign teacher during his college life .

He is also an artist in teaching us how to take notes , he makes us taking notes just like creating an artifact .I missed him .

I'm feeling a few feelings, and ruminating a few ruminations, so I'm gonna burp out a few feelings. Everything's fine, I'm just raking the coals.

I do still have them somewhere but I probably won't be able to read them because of my shit handwriting.

Have a friend that got screwed over in a divorce.  Now had her car get repossessed and I'm trying to help her out. Sadly all this help is "after the fact" so it's literally picking up the pieces...

Did you know that if your car gets repo'd, you can still owe the bank if they auction it for less than you still owe? I don't even understand how that is legal; you'd think that the right to repo and sell the collateral exhausts the contract, but nope!  So not only did you take someone's car, they still owe you for it?  This is my first real non-academic taste of - "no wonder people can get into debt spirals."

I can understand why lenders don't want to get scammed, but you'd think they'd at least try to understand each situation individually instead of just following an algorithm... which is clearly what happened here. As far as I can tell there was never even an attempt to set up an alternate payment plan.

I may have to help my friend talk to their lawyer about options... she may have to file for bankruptcy; I really can't stand the prospects of making someone pay thousands of dollars literally for nothing.
