Saw this reddit thread: "6 years later, what do you think about TLJ Luke?".

They did Luke so dirty, they really did. They just shit on his character and killed him off. Ugh. Movie 8 was trash. As was 9 (somehow Palpatine returned). 7 was the only one of the new trilogy that wasn't just a steaming dump.

I didn't really like it at the time cause as you say, it was just a clone of 4, but it wasn't so actively terrible as to poison the entire series going forwards like 8 was for me.
(Just looked it up on rotten tomatoes, apparently critics loved #8 for some reason).

The B-story in 8 was atrocious and pointless. I think it was only in it to give Finn and Rose something to do, because if you’ve got token minorities in the film, you might as well hammer home that you didn’t want them by giving them a completely empty story.

The only good bit of 9 was basically the roll-call montage at the end when all the pilot characters from earlier movies showed up.

Maybe it's the clinical approach to sex that bugs him? Like, for all the nonsense, the cat and mouse game of appropriate vs. inappropriate is culturally part of our heritage and it probably has something to do with how sex excites us. Taboo things are inherently more exciting than things that are not.

I suppose I can understand that sentiment for those not used to our culture.
For me and most of my fellow dutchies though, despite openness about the topic and it's risks, the act of sex is still something intimate, private, and exciting, not at all clinical.

Having no taboo about it just does help prevent STDs and teenage pregnancies.

Idk if the new guys watched the original movies. Seems wasteful to have the old cast back but then not even put them in one scene together. Plus the ultra optimistic guy who would redeem ultra space sauron if there was a little bit of light left in him decides to kill his own kin because there was a little bit of dark in him. And Kylo spends all his time trying to live up to Darth Vader's evil legacy when force ghost anakin could at any point show up and be all "yeah nah bro we don't do that"

I... I'm not sure you'd actually survive an asbestos towel wedgie? As a material it has a pretty shreddy texture, it probably would be possible to bleed out from something like that, nevermind the amount that would splinter off. Sounds like a horrible way to die, really.
