Huh, they have laetare over there? (Technically carneval is over. No pun intended.)
Heh I was wondering the same. Carnaval was a few weeks ago. I guess Wallonia has a different kind of christianity than we do, with another carnaval date.

That, or maybe the original parade was cancelled because of corona, and now it is allowed? The parade was to start today.

Laetare should be at the exact mid of the 40 days fasting that begin after carnaval (aschermittwoch/mercredi des cendres) and after which 40 days it's easter.

Carnaval is kind of rare in wallonia, but I thought laetare is even rarer... It's all extremly regional.

Oof your bro must have met one of the objectively worst drivers, like below 1 percentile bad. Best of luck.

Uh, no
Baal's brother met one of those habitual drunk drivers.
Driving ability wasn't a factor.
Wish the absolute best for Baal Bro.

Letting someone else put their name down on a leased car when you're redflagged, to go power with 160kmh drunk, has nothing to do with driving ability no, but it takes a very special kind of recklessness. This guy has a bigger issues than DUI.

Let's hope his only issue in the future is going to be being locked up in prison for the rest of his life.

While in Geneva, the IPCC convenes to review their latest report on climate change, the poles are sending them a message.
At a measuring station on Antarctica, the temperature is 40C (104F) higher than it normally is this time of year, while near the North pole, temperatures are 30C (86F) higher than normal.

Crazy crazy crazy. There’s no way now to say that climate change doesn’t exist or won’t impact us, surely.

When I saw begging street children. It's awful when you know, how children suffer from life and poverty across the world.

Thank you guys. My brother is already in mid care and soon will be able to get visists. His boyfriend (the only person with him in Chile besides a cousin) is the one relying the news to us but soon well be able to video call him.

His intestines are working again.

And the poles... it really sucks. Mankind needs to react.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?
My ship exploded midflight, but all the shrapnel totally landed on Alpha Centauri before anyone else did.  Bow before me world leaders!

Fitter, happier. More productive.
They’re comfortable, not drinking too much.
