Did he stop answering that abruptly? There is a chance he is not answering because he is in intensive care, not that that would be much better, besides it's speculation. In any case he deserved much better... Don't want to put words in his mouth but I feel like his IRL peebs gave him a giant scoop of neglect once the outcome was more or less clear.  :( heartbreaking
Indeed that happened. He told me that once his situation worsened people close to him basically vanished. Keep talking to him for like the last 2 years via PM's here. Some months ago he spent a week and some in intensive care and stoped replying, that is peharps the other time you mention I was worried. But this time is different, and its well over a month now.

Why the fuck someone would stop being friend of someone else because that person is dying? Unless is from a zombie plague there is no excuse man. I dont joke when I say lots of you here are considered friends by me.

Do hope he someday logs back and say "had a several months intensive care visit but Im better now", but the reallity is most likely very different.

I hope so too. I hope we all provided (or are providing) some sort of sense of community to them. Noone should be alone that way.

‘Tis the season for respiratory illness also.

Probably wise to get tested though.

Why is it this bad? No one knows ...

UK soccer club West Ham United fined their player Kurt Zouma 300000 euros for animal cruelty, after Zouma himself spread a video online showing him kicking his cat through the kitchen like a football, throwing shoes at the terrified animal and hitting it on the head with it, while his toddler was watching.

More than 100000 Brits have signed a petition asking the justice system to prosecute Zouma.

Adidas has cancelled it's sponsor contract with him, and West Ham itself lost a sponsor too, after they allowed Zouma to play a match despite the outrage.
During the game, Zouma was boo'd by the crowd all match long, and when he was tackled and down on the ground with an injury, the crowd cheered "this is how your cat feels!"

Zouma's cats have been collected from his villa by the RSPCA for checkup and investigation, and they are considering pressing charges.
In his home country, France, the French version of the RSPCA, Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis, is considering sueing too.
In France, someone can get 4 years in prison for animal cruelty, regardless where the crime was committed.

The abuse is extra embarassing for Zouma's wife, who works as a project manager for the French organisation Seed, which protects tigers. Zouma himself is embassador for the organisation.

Note that I posted this in the sad thread because I feel sad for the poor cat, not for the asshole.

It wasn't Covid, it was just a cold and I got over it. Not sad, just an update on it.

Someone can believe something they've learned.
It's easy to hear information and fit it into the story.

And yet
I don't want to say anymore. I hope people will be a little more open minded, if they can.
