Whoa.  Tack realized he was a useless spam bot. There may be hope for him yet.
I always knew I was a spam-bot. But I'm just too bored to do anything about it.

Now when are you going to make the same comment about you being a hypocrite?

I'm sad. Reasons known. Not shared.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Everything so far today, aside from Gurren Laggan.

I tell you, If I didn't feel so strongly about the idea of using medicine to alter one's mood, I'd go see a doctor about these down swings I get.

So bloody bothersome to get into such a funk; especially since I could have gone to a party if I had felt better, which only makes me more unhappy.

Geh.

Out of curiousity, why do you feel so strongly against using medicine to alter emotions?

Stupid fool, of course because we want to control our own mind!

Those medicines are the worst, I tell you! Those are the Devil's work himself!

You do realise that your body quite happily produces drugs all by itself and said drugs are in fact the reason why you feel emotions in the first place?

Hell your body produces and makes gleeful use of Adrenaline for chrissake.

I feel i should also add that you're not in control of your own mind anyway. I'm fine with somone trying to take control of my mind away from me; i've been trying to control it for twenty-one years and i've never gotten anywhere :D
Good luck to them.

I declined medication because I feel that the highs are well worth the depressions.

I imagine Eidialac feels the same way. Or, he doesn't want drugs that change your mind in your system, changing your mind.

Pride, I guess.  I'd just rather deal with my issues directly.  Also, I feel that society today is to quick to reach for pills to fix things.  For example, I had a cousin visit a few years back, and everyone was freaking out because they didn't bring enough ADHD meds for him - but everything he did was exactly like every child I'd ever met, myself included.  6-year olds should be active and curious to the point of being a bother.

That said, I don't have an issue with the idea of medications per-say, since some people really do need them and are helped by them.  I mostly just don't like the idea of having to use them myself, especially if it's just for the sake of quick fix.

I used to feel the same way about certain aspects of my physique. I've since learned that sometimes you just get a shitty hand and dealing with it just plain is not worth it.

Yeah, I'm starting to think I should consider this may be the case for me.

'Course, I generally get a 2-3 day downswing once a month (or less), so it's more of a bother than an issue, which also increases my reluctance.

Then get hopped up on meds.
Though I generally have the same idea about them as well. People in our society are too quick to reach towards medication, paracetamol mostly. I don't like paracetamol. However, If there's a problem with it, maybe you do need anti-depressants. Or ice-cream.

Hmm... I would advise gratuitous amounts of Taurine and Guarna, but it only gives a short fix. Maybe if you went on an ice-cream only diet? That could work.

In all seriousness though, Following no scientific evidence whatsoever, the endorphins in fruit, especially apples, are actually very good for countering depression. Apples are good for everything, really. If you aren't eating enough fruit, that could be the cause of your depressive episodes.

And if you're hungry, you aren't depressed.

Or, you're annoyed at me making you hungry, in which case you aren't depressed.

I'm so Awesome!

EDIT: And yes, I realise I'm posting too much here. I'll stop.

I had a dream about my little brother last night.

It made me very, very sad.
