Illness and weight gain.

At least the weight gain can be dealt with, and I plan to deal with it (I've put on a stone and a half, so I want to lose at least that which'll take a bit but I've done it once). The illness just sucks. Don't think it's covid since I've not got a temperature and I can still smell/taste things, but it's giving me a headache and tiring me out, which sucks. Especially since I'm still dealing with my SSRI withdrawal.

I never had a fever when I had covid (though I didn’t check) and I lost my sense of taste after about 10 days of horrible fatigue and aches and pains.

‘Tis the season for respiratory illness though, so it could be something else unpleasant.

I'm feeling really exhausted, which I have been for months. Really hoping that it's just lockdown depression and not something else. I'm so tired.

Same. Perhaps this is a Vitamin D deficiency we are experiencing?

I'm so relieved that other people are experiencing this. My hair's been falling out too and I'm constantly anxious. Not, like, "medically concerning" hair falling out, just I'm aware that I'm losing more than normal. I've had two blood tests six months apart and at least in my case I'm pretty sure it's not vitamin deficiency.

Well . . . just gotta be strong :I

It's called getting old. :P

I'm supposedly in my prime, kiddo >_> And if you ARE right, I've aged, like, 40 years since March.

You've been to the doctors right?

Just the other day, yea
Before that they literally called to TALK to me and I'm like
What.

Had to put my mum on the phone with the doctor.

Weeks later finally managed an in-person meeting.

Covid sucks.

Yeah tbh I think it's been a highly stressful year for just about everyone... it's bound to cause havoc on the body, especially when whole routines have been disrupted, people are cut off from each other, constantly worrying if they're going to be able to pay rent or if their family is going to get plague or if the environment is collapsing etc etc. Especially since it's winter now (in northern hemisphere at least) there's not much sunlight and it's too cold to do anything so activity drops even further.

I used to shed what seemed like half a bale of hair every shower when I was anaemic, but you say you've had your levels test so idk what else it could be. Hope you are eating well at least.

This time of year is kind of crappy in terms of stress too, and I can't imagine what it would be like actually wanting to see people and not being able to do that on top of the regular stresses of holiday times.

Stay strong y'all.

I agree that it is stress, most likely. Our entire society is under immense pressure right now, and it's effecting everything. All of the norms have been changed and even with the vaccines coming out things remain uncertain.

Also, humans are social creatures, and even those of us who are introverts are suffering withdrawal from human contact. It's not how we're supposed to work, and that gives everyone a low level stress addition on top of any specific issues they are dealing with.

But it beats dying, and at least the internet and voice/video chats are a thing.

I can only imagine how much worse it was back in 1918.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?
