I'm running out of medicine and I'm for-safet's-sake isolation because of my cold syndromes.

Should I still go to the apothecary

Are they doing deliveries?
Is there any way someone else could get the medicine for you?

If it's a choice between your health and going out, then choose your health. If it's not, then don't.

If you do need to go out, wear a face mask or even a scarf around your mouth. Wash hands before and after. Stay as far away from others as possible.

Not a satisfactory answer, I'm sure, considering it's just common sense :P

I have some old masks of my father's (he was an animal health/disease prevention guy) which might work. I feel terrified of the prospect though. Out of embarrassment, that is.

There's too much to be judged from.

"In these uncertain times" nobody gives a fuck. As long as you're trying, you're good. As long as you're wearing clothing and a mask (or nearest available simulacrum), and stay away from people, you're doing everything you can.

Cancer took my dad away 1.5 hours ago.

Guys, take care of yourselves: do the regular check-ups, don't keep to 'I will take painkillers and it will pass' mentality, don't postpone your appointments at doctor's.

It leads only in one direction.

I posted a joke about Stockholm Syndrome a few days ago, and boy is there a weird story behind that term. And by weird, I mean "horrifying enough that you know it's real."

Condolences, friend.

What was his name? I can pray for him, if you want. Would be a honor.

Thank you, but I'm sure there will be more than enough prayers for him in the coming days.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust the secondary source there.

Quote
I actually cannot believe this origin story for "Stockholm Syndrome" which is basically just a "myth invented to discredit women victims of violence by a psychiatrist with an obvious conflict of interest, whose first instinct was to silence the woman questioning his authority"

Well maybe, but I'd want more sources for that than a single pop psychology book which has a clear ideological axe to grind. When everything including air conditioners is a misogynist conspiracy, then the bar is low for claiming extra conspiracies.

Things that make life really comfortable (such as air conditioning) are sexist, because they don't make women comfortable enough, or they happen to make men slightly more comfortable.

EDIT: Also: having equal amounts of things for men and women is sexism if women want more:
https://time.com/3653871/womens-bathroom-lines-sexist-potty-parity/

Quote
After counting the women, I tweeted, “Dear @britishmuseum there are FIFTY women and girls standing in line for the loo while the men’s room has zero line #everydaysexism.”

Quote
Legislation to address the design and provision of public restrooms in new construction often requires more space for women’s rooms. But that has hardly made a dent in many of our oldest and most used public spaces. This is especially true in powerful institutions, such as schools and government complexes, where old buildings, and their gendered legacies, dominate.

I hardly see how it's a "gendered legacy" if they made the assumption that men and women were the same. The system has only improved now that we have a gendered system. Imagine if you'd mad the suggestion that women take longer in the bathroom so they need more stalls back in the gender-neutral 1970s. You'd have been lynched for suggesting any gender difference.

EDIT: i just googled a thing entirely at random: seatbelts, and yes, they're part of the partriarchal conspiracy too. I think it's at the stage where you can just google any noun and they're all part of the patriarchal conspiracy. Probably any verb or adjective too.

I kinda want to make a joke here, how his name was Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz.

How are you holding up?

Yeah, but...  That's PETA. Sea kittens. I wouldn't even begin to take seriously any opinion piece that they came out with.

Yeah, Mom said she won't let him die alone at hospital. We had him at home for the last month.

That makes all the difference. It's rough as hell, but it makes all the difference.
