Of course, of course. I suppose it's just like me to have a pleasant dream for once, and then immediately wake up and rationalize it to be tied to my victim complex somehow. I gotta stop doing that; thinking that I'm different and alien from the rest of the world, and just accept that I'm a normal ass dude like everyone else.

So, yeah. I'm ok.

I haven't had a filling since I was young. Now I'm to get three - yay.

Can anyone tell me if it's as traumatic as young-me remembers?

I don't think I will ever not hate the injections (I am very difficult to anaesthetise, apparently; they usually need to take more than one shot at it, and they all hurt like hell), but the drilling etc. is really not as bad. I guess you grow into holding your mouth open for longer more easily, and also it's bigger so it's easier for them to get in there.

I used to be afraid of syringes/injections, but never was afraid of a needle since teenage years. I tend to feel a bit uncomfortable when the needle is inside the body, but I'm never anxious.

Giving blood? No problem, jam that needle up in there, I don't mind. Same with IVs; never had a problem. It's just something about dental anaesthesia that makes the needles absolutely agonising for me.

I haven't found dental injections for teeth removal problematic at all. In fact, my mom kept making it sound like a horror movie, but it was super chill and quick in reality.

I have something of a fear of needles. I'm able to keep myself in place and don't shun them when necessary, but it's a real effort and I'll probably agonise over it in the days leading up to it..

I don't know that it's fear, but I don't do well with needles. Anxiety, maybe? I got vaccinated for Hepatitus A and B, and was "fine" for the first small needle. The larger needle where I could feel the vaccine going into the muscles was a bit much. I was lightheaded, and apparently passed out while I was leaving.

From my memory, I was walking, then I was on my back with a few doctors around me, with no time elapsed in between.

I'm not afraid of needles that goes into myself, but I find watching a needle pinnig the skin of another to be absolutely cringe-inducing. I hate it.

Both are cringe and disgust.

I remember in anatomy class when we had to draw blood, my blood was thicker than normal so it took longer to get it out and onto the antigens for testing. I wasn't afraid, just sad that it didn't come out as readily as the other students'. I eventually learned that I am A- when the nurse came in with a deeper needle to help get blood out for the testing.

I had to get blood pumped out for tests a while ago for various reasons. I was entirely fine with it, I had needles inside me before, but dear God, I was not prepared for having vital fluids sucked out of one of my more important limbs through a thin, hollow steel pipe shoved into my aformentioned important limb, in a process which took hours. Mental hours. They felt like hours, is what I’m saying. Afterwards, it felt like that feeling you get after you’ve vomited but you’re not sure if you’re going to vomit again and deep down you know you’re going to vomit again but in reality your body isn’t going to vomit again but it is instead going to torture you with constant indescribable nausea for the next few hours until you go drop from exhaustion.
Anyway that was traumatising and I hate needles now thank you for listening to my TED talk.
