I'm making the conscious choice not to have children, and that's part of the reason. It pretty much comes down to three things:

1) I like my free time, children chew through free time like it's an all you can eat buffet
2) The planet's going to go to crap bar some miracle. Like hell I'm willing to stick anyone through that.
3) We could do with less people really. IIRC it's estimated the maximum sustainable human population is 2 billion. If that's right, then we really need major population contraction or we're going to burn through every resource.

I mean, I'm not making a huge difference, and really what we need is government legislation and companies to be cracked down on, but like fuck that's going to happen. All that governments do is minimal changes or promises they don't have to be held to because they promise carbon neutrality 50 years down the line, by which point the promise makers are dead or retired. This is ignoring governments that are pro-environmental destruction because it'll net them some cash (*cough* Brazil *cough cough* Australia *cough cough* China *cough hack* USA *Cough*)

I dunno, the idea of just literally Khaning it appeals to me.

(also you abstaining from children probably won't make any difference, as women are the baby machines. The woman you didn't impregnate will just find someone else's genetic material to harvest.)

Okay, who's the 2 billion worthy of our resources, then?

I'm well aware :/

supposedly, assuming no new nation ever rises to first-world living standards, we could theoretically support a population of 11 billion, but of course, that first part won't ever happen

It will if America has anything to say about it, which we do, and as often as possible.

Anyway you just made a case for American Imperialism being the savior of humanity. Enjoy.

You don't realise how much you're looking forward to hanging out with friends until it falls through because you had work, so now you're stuck home on a saturday evening, drinking alone and feeling lonely and shit.
The worst part is that instinctive reaction that wants to blame them and further distance myself, despite knowing fully that these things tend to happen and that it's no-ones fault, everyone has shit they need to do and limited free time. It just so happens that my free time is such that the only people I see day to day is either my family or my co-workers, which are both fine groups for the most part but not really what I need right now :V

The best part of tonight was when someone randomly grabbed my ass.

Meh. That part I at least felt appreciated, even if she was drunk and also there together with another dude.

The rest of the evening was mostly just me talking with a cute gal for 5 hours (or rather, her talking to me for 5 hours) and her being receptive to my flirting, and then when we left the bar together and I pulled her closer she said "I don't kiss on a first meeting" and then gave me a hug instead.

But she said it would be nice to go out for a coffee sometime, "if you drink coffee".

What is meant by this? Your surface goes inward? That doesn’t make sense. What is meant by a human feeling concave?

Don't worry my man. There's bound to be an inflection point somewhere down the interval of your life, and you'll be convex again.
Now, consider taking the second derivative of yourself over the past interval to spot when you became concave. Maybe there's a valid reason you were not aware of, or maybe there's periodicity involved (and that could warrant a visit with a specialist).
