My neighbors moved to a new appartment, they were all busy packing stuff in a van.
LOOKS LIKE THEY LEFT THEIR CAT BEHIND.
Sad that there is no rage thread for this.
Congratulations on the new cat!
I mean, he may be oved capacity on cats. :(
This. I already have 6 of them. Don't worry they're all neutered, no need to sound the catsplosion sirens, but enough is enough.

I'm sorry if I can't stop to listening to the sounds of the ocean (wft we are at least 300km from the nearest shore), or see the grass grow or listen to stupid advices of not being self-centered from people that believe are the center of the universe, no, the multiverse, but I'm too busy surviving and trying to keep us feed.

I turned into a bitter, cynical and selfish old man ogre (all at 31 mind you). Or so I've been told today. I think is the survival mode I'm into right now. Not the first time I'm told I'm a complete asshole that can't listen for advices or enjoy the little things. I do enjoy them, just that I'm not shouting about it the four winds while at it.

I might not be able to take two of the modules I really want to because the CS department are a bunch of self-absorbed idiots. Life is great.

I've seen you say you drink plenty. Perhaps that is taking its toll. Try limit or cut it out of your diet for a month and see how you go.
I am I no way saying quit forever.

What type of lymphoma, if I may ask?

Sorry for the late reply. "T-cell rich, diffuse B-cell" is the full name I believe.

That sucks man. I'm torn if you answering T-virus cells would have been worst or not.

It's like 35 degrees outside, the air con in my office is broken, and all I want is to sleep. I've been to one lecture today and otherwise achieved almost precisely nothing.

I am increasingly disappointed by my offline peer group, but extremely anxious to bring up any of this to them.

Yeah sounds like a bad idea to talk about it.

I agree. It's better to bottle it up and bury it deep inside you while pretending its no big deal,  until you start hearing voices telling you to burn stuff and start to wake up in the mornings with mud in your boots and bloodstains in your fingernails. It's a no brainer

Or learn to deal with it/get new friends.

If you think you can talk to them and have them listen and moderate their ways, then go for it. I'd suggest that that type of thing only makes people resent you, though, unless you genuinely convince them they're in the wrong. Which is hard to do.

Anyway, you know your friends so your guess as to how they'll handle it is best. Your anxiety, however, implies you think they won't take it well.

I suppose a fourth option is "talk to them, and if they don't change, then get new friends."

I would stick to the voices and mud plan.
