I turned into a bitter, cynical and selfish old man ogre (all at 31 mind you). Or so I've been told today. I think is the survival mode I'm into right now. I've seen you say you drink plenty. Perhaps that is taking its toll. Try limit or cut it out of your diet for a month and see how you go.

I agree. It's better to bottle it up and bury it deep inside you while pretending its no big deal,  until you start hearing voices telling you to burn stuff and start to wake up in the mornings with mud in your boots and bloodstains in your fingernails. It's a no brainer

Or learn to deal with it/get new friends.

If you think you can talk to them and have them listen and moderate their ways, then go for it. I'd suggest that that type of thing only makes people resent you, though, unless you genuinely convince them they're in the wrong. Which is hard to do.

Anyway, you know your friends so your guess as to how they'll handle it is best. Your anxiety, however, implies you think they won't take it well.

I suppose a fourth option is "talk to them, and if they don't change, then get new friends."
