Hard drive failure. Irreplaceable stuff was backed up and the OS is on another drive, but I lost a lot of data.

Calling Shazam Shazam just isn't as fun any more now that he is actually called Shazam.

He became infamous amongst the mujaheddin, for which they called him Shalashaska.

Fresher's Weeks are not representative for most of university life.

Vivat academia!

More seriously,  I think that uni life is hard. As in, really hard. I recall it as some of the most stressful years of my life (comparatively speaking I feel far less stressed now. There are bad moments, but overall you feel more settled).

I think part of the problem is that it feels that you have far more meat in the oven, so to speak. Therefore you feel more personally at risk.

Itīs worth it, in the end, though, so do try to hold fast and ride the tiger to the end :)

I recall I didnīt feel it would mean that much, but when the day came, I was very moved by the graduation ceremony.

Update: judge's still out on whether I can recover some of my data from the broken drive. I went ahead and bought two hard drives and made them into a RAID so the problem is much less likely to happen again.

I secretly like it when I accidentally do something stupid and end up needing to format my entire C drive

To add to my university woes, I'm supposed to meet my personal tutor today.

Finding out who they are was one hell of an issue. Next up is finding out when I meet them. I can't find anything anywhere about it, aside from the fact it's somewhere between 10:40 and 12:30
Suppose it depends on Uni but that kinda stuff doesn't matter all that much

When I went Uni saw mine all of 3 times my life, all just to say 'yeah nah all's good m8'
