Harambe was a gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo. A small child managed to fall into his enclosure and get grabbed, the zoo responded by fatally shooting the gorilla. It made international headlines and became yet another moronic meme.

Could...anyone explain this whole Harambe thing I keep seeing? >_> Because it seems a lot like a nuisance nowadays with all the references and simpleminded 'gags' towards whatever this is. And why is it so popular or being inserted into actual serious things.

It's a meme named after the gorilla that got shot and people were saying 'NOO, WHY U KILL HARAMBE!?!?' and it was controversial because some were like 'why didn't you just tranq him?'.

I discovered, just before 4 this morning, that my shoe leaks. I then had to live with this fact (and the soggy sock) for the next 9 hours until I just now got home and took it off. The damn sock looks like it was dyed a different color from the ankle down.

It's not even just macroscale, my family, my mother, is still struggling and I've no doubt she'll be struggling more soon enough...She's done so much and never gotten any reward but far more work than she should ever need to handle and no help from anyone, let alone me.

...I feel like I'm nothing but a burden to anybody outside of this forum, and even then I barely have the energy to muster a *hug* anymore...I just want it to go away and leave me alone, but I'm lonely, and I can't just shut off the world even if I wanted to...
