I can't think of anything that I feel like doing right now.

Do something that you will be happy about later - say, deleting your facebook account.

Perhaps do something you can think about :) that isn't necessarily motivated by feeling at the moment.
Chart a list of what you can possibly do; plan out a short-term goal maybe. Contact people here or otherwise that you think could be possible or start a new conversation with folks?
Happy evening to you there by the way.

Then rest.  Lay down, close your eyes, maybe put some quiet music on, (or, heck, just losten to music for a while - stay away from moody stuff though, maybe some light classical stuff?) and...Yeah.

Do something that you will be happy about later - say, deleting your facebook account.
Well that might not be the best idea but if you want I suppose you could.

That's... much more entertaining idea, I'm afraid I don't have power to do so.

I mean, seriously, listening to music can be a good way to unsad yourself.

Going on a limb, but sometimes we're sad for good reason, and it's important to recognize why we're sad. What has us feeling upset, or listless, or disaffected, or whatever, and letting ourselves experience and process through it. Being distracted just drags it out, without letting ourselves work through it, and come to a conclusion on why we're sad, and what we ought to do to avoid it.

Sorry you're feeling crummy. Any clue why?

If not, I hope you can figure out why you feel like you do. If there's things you can change to make your situation better going forward, I hope you can figure that out too. Much love.

I am sad, because every time I see "CBT" all I can think of is something of the same initials that is so horrific and perverted it is best left unmentioned.

My advice: set an alarm on your smartphone instead.

If you don't have one, maybe you can do it on a dumbphone too??? It's been a while since I've had one.

I have like 10 alerts set on my phone in a row. I usually wake up at first one, but they stop me from falling asleep again.

Oh boy, Thanksgiving. I seriously hope American holiday culture just collapses in on itself at some point in my lifetime. I'm already mostly checked out personally, but I'm still getting roped in to deal with the family I don't care about for the sake of the family I do care about.

I'm gonna shout some motherfucker down if I hear the word "Trump" today, though.

I just leave it on the other side of my room, plugged in, so I can't shut it off unless I get out of bed and walk over to it. (The alarm gets progressively louder the longer it is going, too)

How do android and apple do it? Mine's windows phone 8.1 (didn't qualify for wp10 upgrade because too weak specs but I want to assume the alarm system is the same).
