The WWF presented their 2-yearly Living Planet Report, and it's not good.

In just 40 years, between 1970 and 2012, populations of all freshwater animals worldwide have decreased by 81%  :o

The construction of dams, pollution of rivers and deltas, overfishing and poaching have hit freshwater fish, birds, reptilians, amphibians, and mammals harder than any other species.
Overall animal populations have decreased by 58% since 1970.

Right now, there's 3700 new dams being constructed, or about to be constructed. When those are done, 90% of all rivers' water will no longer flow a natural course.

Guys, I was pissed off ar being thrown under the bus on an FGRP thing, it doesn't have anything to do with people not worshiping me.

I'd offer to talk, Miauw, but I'm assuming it's girl troubles and "dump her ass" is not really something you can emotionally manage.

"Thrown under the bus"? Oh, is it that thing where you try to talk about something interesting to you and get all excited, and then people just continue to talk over you like you are not even there? Because I've had that a lot in my life...

I didn't think he was that bad but presumably Toady have warned him about it and since he still did it, Toady decided to ban him now rather than keep him around and potentially having to deal with another OW situation where he has to ban someone who people like.

Or Toady is working on DF and doesn't have time for this shit.

Honestly some of the sad thread things he posted go over the line, though I have to admit I occasionally feel like the situation with some of the members here could bear to be solved by brutal murders. That's probably why we didn't think it was bad, while Toady One's like "WOAH that shit's illegal"

Well the thing about the system is that Toady will more 'n likely remove the posts that get reported.

If they were warned previously about it and kept doing it, then they only have themselves to blame.

And yeah, Toady is essentially responsible for the content on the forum, can't imagine having folk promoting violence on it is good for him.

Yeah, there's technically nothing that prevents such a threat to become a casus belli or whatever it's called for legal thing to sue Bay 12 forums for death threats.

And that's no good.

What threat was made?

Sad: It's easier for someone to track me than it is to track a CEO or national figure. Sad: few people ever initiate a conversation with me, unless they want to sell me something, convert me, or gain something from me.

Post would've been removed, and it would've been removed for good reason. Probably not a good idea to post it again.

These two facts together make far more sense than you realize.

Just add "random, arbitrary violence" and "pointless vitriolic ranting" in there somewhere and you've explained why I react to eye contact by averting my eyes as if a demon was trying to steal my soul through them.
