Well, finally had the custody trial. Crowdfunding failed to raise anything, so my folks went in without an attorney, had most of their evidence thrown out, most of their witness questions (such as who's been providing financial support for the past six years) deemed irrelevant while my sister's lawyer was allowed to run roughshod, and the judge openly stated that none of it mattered, because the mother gets custody no matter what.

*hugs Arx*

Stay safe.
Wait, isn't Arx in South Africa? I've recently heard some bad news about South Africa and universities... like, "crowds of people wanting to "decolonise" universities from evil Western science by throwing firebombs at buildings with people still inside" kind of bad. The "students now have to take exams at military bases just to be safe" kind of bad.

welp, stay safe

Roughly speaking. It's not as bad as it might seem from the outside in some places, but parts of it are pretty damn bad, yeah.

Appeal.

Fucking appeal that.

Also, look for lawyers who might be able to do pro bono work in your area, because good grief...

The landlady should not own pets.

She has an elderly dog. It's in real bad shape. I know I'm an ass for saying this, but it should be put down.

It's deaf, and possibly going blind. It's practically skeletal, it's so thin. No idea why it's so thin. it has arthritis, according to the vet. It also can't walk very well anymore, just falling over after only a few steps, and is incontinent. Just pisses and shits wherever it happens to be. It's filthy from its own waste, and she won't clean it. She says she does, but I have doubts, since she rarely if ever even cleans the cat litter box. If an animal shits on the floor, she leaves it for hours, just opting to walk around instead.

She refuses to talk about the dog. Putting an animal to sleep is worse than murder. She says she'd rather just hope that she'll come home from work one day and find it dead.

A mix of sadness and rage.

Kill it (preferably by having a vet do that if you can afford that) while she is away at work, grant her her wish and put the dog out of it's misery.

Or call the police on her. Over here serious animal neglect like that is considered a crime punishable by up to two years in prison.

While it may look not good, well, for some people killing sort of  friend, who you spent 10 years may be not easy decision.

I do agree with this. Some things are just emotionally harder for some people to do.

I agree. That's no excuse for letting said friend deteriorate to the point of misery and agony as described by BlackFlyme

Im finding it hard to stay alive.
Im running out of favors, out of money and out of will to get a real job.
I cant keep selling because that pay fluctuates, includes risks and isnt substantial to a wage.
I really just want an angel to reach out, offer me a place and take me on.
To be taught things and to teach things to.

I hate this century, no longer can we get a job in one day with stay included.

Soon, jobs will have become a luxury commodity that only the lucky few can afford to get.

Kot, that's awful. So awful. :'(
Please, hang in there. Here's hoping you can get a transplant or cure or whatever, but in the meantime just... try and do things you enjoy. Lots of them.
I think you're a cool dude. Please don't die. Not sure what else to say, except that we'd miss you.

Good luck.
