I can't remember the last time I wasn't depressed around my birthday. It's been happening for years and years; as far back as when I was a lot younger, and depression first became a thing in my life. Caught myself dodging some plans today, which is when I started to notice the pattern again. I'm still doing alright, just on the start of the downward swing. I know it'll pass like always.

Still, I don't really get why it happens. I'll joke around about being troubled by "being so old", but I'm not honestly bothered by age. I like the Autumn weather best out of the whole year too, so it's hard to imagine it's a seasonal thing. I've got no particular reason to be depressed, but I still feel the steam draining out of me the last few days. It's not nearly as bad as it used to be, and that's a good change. I can fake friendliness and energy and all that just fine too. I'd still like it if I could feel sociable or motivated when I get together with friends or family, the way I can when I'm normal.

One more year of existence, though. Not bad. Keep on improving my all-time record, right?

TIL "unpredictable" means "we don't control him".

Both of my hard drives and my video card just died. I just started at a new minimum wage job so I won't be able to replace them for about 4 months and I just lost borderline all of my documents.

But it'll be fine right? This is fine right?

That is one of my greatest fears.

I guess no backups?

On the bright side, at least you got a job and an income.

*hugs ZebAbirul*
The data might still be on there.  If you can get the money to see if that's the case, it might be a good idea.

@Spehss_:*hugs* You are not a failure.
What makes you think you are?

@Solifuge:Normally I would deploy cake, but it sounds liie you need a hug more than cake.   *hugs*
I hope your birthday is happier.

@Bork:What happened?  :(

Eh.
The usual sads. My head hurts like hell since yesterday and I blame it on those sads. Fuck me, I need to find a theraphy or something.

This thread might be Mordor, but you're that little star that gave Sam hope.  *hug*
I finally got some sleep and that was partially thanks to you, but usually you're not going to see the good you've done.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.
