Aye. Comparing your problems with others is stupid. Don't trivialize your shit because someone somewhere has it a lot worse. On the other side of the coin, someone somewhere has it a lot better.

Your problems are uniquely your own. You still have to deal with them regardless of what's happening to someone else.
Yeah, this.

I am so very sorry.
@Elephant Parade, my sincerest condolences.
Thanks.

All I can offer is the hope that everything goes as smoothly as possible at this point. I know that when my grandmother had her stroke that she wanted it to be over with - to the point where her last words were "no" when the doctors were talking about palliative care.

You'll be told it's okay to grieve, but remember what they mean is that it's okay to grieve in your own way. It's not easy, but it never really is. Good luck, man. I'll keep you and your family in mind.

Let's not mention the fact I never have time anymore.  :-\

I'm sorry I'm not around enough and have been such an abrasive figure.

I think a close friend of mine has been depressed for a different reason than I surmised (or perhaps, rather, in addition to the obvious reason), and that I inadvertently shoved it in their face today.

Ugh, i've failed to bring my GameMaker 8.1 key from home, which i'm not sure where is so i can't just call people and tell them to find it, and i can't find it nor any records of my purchase online. This means that i can't really work on Angry Laser Space on my laptop, due to the Lite version being unable to handle a few crucial functions i've used (and Studio having made a SHIT TON of changes, some being relatively quick fixes, and others* requiring me to go through almost every single object in order to fix them), so i can't compile the game for the purpose of showing off the latest version in gaem design class. I'll be going home not this weekend, but the next one. That's 10 days of waiting if i'm not going to bother crunching through the Studio conversion. >.>

What's more is that i can't find any records of my purchase, even though i'm pretty damn sure i've bought it, so emailing YoYo Games about it won't make any sense. They also don't sell keys for GM 8.1 any more, and well, all in all, i'm pretty screwed if i don't have it saved on my desktop computer.

* removing custom trigger functions and the option to treat all uninitialized variables as 0 if they're called, the latter of which will require a MASSIVE rework

I am so sorry. I wish you strenght in dealing with the loss of a parent.

Dropped my phone and cracked it. First time I've ever done that. Shouldn't upset me as much as it does (I mean, it still works mostly) but it does.

I cracked my 3310 by dropping it the floor.

Yes. It is actually possible.

There's worse things. I've had my laptop screen go CRACK! a few years ago, when the pressure of a busline being overcrowded pushed my backpack against a pole.
I went from CRACK!? to CRINGE! in seconds, believe me.
