An easily made mistake, really. Don't blame yourself or anything.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

SB:*hugs*

Glad you're alive, dude.  Accidents happen.  And...I'm sorry about your dog.  :(

But...Take this and learn from it, okay?  Keep a kitchen-rated fire extinguisher near your stove, keep a close eye on your cooking...All that stuff.  I don't want to hear that you got hurt if anything happens again.

@Gamedragon:First off, *unconditional hugs*.

Second off:

No, you're not.

And also, no you're not.

You are a cool person who feels like shit because their brain is out of whack.  You are not a piece of shit or an asshole.  Or any sort of bad person at all.

====

I don't know how to help

I don't know what to say

I don't know what to do

This is just, I feel so helpless right now against everything that's going on (here) and I feel like I'm failing people and it feels terrifying and sad and I don't want to not help people and I don't want to let them down and

Hey, don't worry about it. You volunteer yourself to help, and you're doing a great job. The only person you could possibly be failing is....well, no one, really. You're doing more than anyone would ever ask you to do, and that's more than a lot of people would care to do. You are helping people. You are doing more than enough. You're doing exactly the right thing, just keep doing it, everything will be alright.

TBF, you're doing fine, focus on the fact that by providing moral support you are reminding people that they are not alone and that there is someone out there who cares.

Bowtie:  I'm really very sorry to hear about your accident, losing a pet is always hard, and when their death was caused by your own failures it is immensely difficult to deal with.  Try to stay focused, while the accident happened on your watch, the situation was beyond your control, the results are what they are.

The thing is, TBF, if it was an easily fized problem they wouldn't have posted in the sad thread. This is despair country.

Have you any pets?

Failing that, go to the shop and get something.

Sure they do. Or can, anyway. There's apparently some pretty appetizing recipes out there for roof rabbit.

I feel like I should be doing more, y'know?

But thank you, everybody.

Hey TBF, I'll send you PMs about that thing--you wish to help but are unsure what to say; we can bring it there. But people do appreciate your messages of moral support, at times that's an uplifting thing in periods of silence. But I suggest you can talk about this in your area there--if you're in college, every university (at least as far as I know) has aid and support professionals for students; go to them. :3
