I find a better strategy would be to find so much things to do that you don't have time to be on the internet.

Also, on other matter, I'm just fucking done. Not sure what me learning new things is doing to make me happier. It's not like people will suddenly like me because I'm good at the sciencing.

Pokemon GO has been delayed for Europe and Canada due to the server loads...

Every time I've tried, the servers have failed in a different way.  I'm not even trying now that the actual weekend has arrived.
Best I managed was hitting a Zubat with a pokeball, which then just sat there for over a minute.

Edit:  Also I'm pretty disappointed by the mechanics, from what I've seen.  I didn't want to play Ingress with Pokemon...  Pokemon is about duels, and I really wanted to do that.
Which is kinda odd considering I've never played a Pokemon game, I just like watching them and hearing about them from some friends who are way into it.

Apparently conquering gyms for teams (clearly Ingress, such a weird thing for Pokemon) involves some kind of pokemon battle.  But it's some weird real-time?  Why!  Why wouldn't they just use existing Pokemon mechanics??  I wouldn't mind at all if they were *simplified*, but this bears almost no mechanical connection to the series.  It's as much a Pokemon game as buying happy meals and playing with the toys.

The environment at my new job is pretty toxic. We're undermanned and get high weekly quotas, so management just makes everyone come in for long shifts, and on the weekends, to meet them. Nobody is happy about this, and it definitely shows. Just before lunch today the manager starting ranting and cussing at a guy over some petty bullshit, guy got pissed and yelled back at manager, and manager told him not to come in after the shift was over. The dude walked off, of course, and he happened to be the only one who could really effectively do his particular job. Everybody else is just quiet. I need this shit if I want to have enough to pay for my last year of school, at least not without skipping a year and forgetting everything, so I can't just do the sensible thing and fuck right on off.

How lucky I am that I can just walk away after a relatively short time is not lost on me.

Hey, how about that, a manager at my work is a cunt too!

I think over half the other managers have had complaints about him, but they've mostly not been stated because he's second to the general manager. Almost all of the crew has had a complaint as well, including myself. The guy's a dick, who's happy to be a dick to any of the lesser crew as well as any of the managers that won't talk back to him.

Something's gotta change or I might quit by the end of the summer, this is dumb. Things have a way of not changing around here until it's far too late though.
