I swear if the American Medical System lets my friend die just because he is poor...

I am going to be SOOOOO Pissed!

However, I am not liking his chances of survival right now... it sounds like his entire body is breaking down.

Coughing up blood, Burst blood vessels in his eyes, amongst other things.

There is such a small chance that this is relatively harmless and it can be treated...

Are you going to do something other than be angry tough?

Because just getting angry at it after it happens helps no one and is a waste of time and energy. Get angry right the hell now, so angry that you go out and get others to care and help if they can. So even if he does end up dying, you'll know that you did all you could and that your anger was well spent, not just a random outburst of rage after the fact.

My sad is a lack of sleep for the past few days, the trend continues because I got stuff to do early, not big stuff, but it's important enough to me that I'll be getting up before sunrise to do it. Other than that, a friend is getting into a worrying funk, and it's both annoying and saddening because he refuses to listen and it feels like he's just fucking himself over because he's decided it's the only thing he's able to do or something. And I know I've been there and I was the same so it's even worse to see him this way and realise how much of an idiot I was, and still am to a certain degree.

Anyways, life, stuff, whatever, we'll all die eventually.

Nothing I can do... I am not a medical doctor.

Nor can I pay for him to go to a good doctor.

It is like something from out of Trauma Center... and unfortunately in real life we don't have magic stabilization injectors.

Well I guess that's a good reason not to work there if the job description would subject the place to some sort of liability, right?  I just hope you find somewhere that recognizes your awesomeness.

I'd help if I could, but I have no monies...
I'll at least hope for the best.

You should point it out to their HR department, whoever owns it/currently in-charge and some regulatory agency for that kinda thing.

Is there a reason he hasn't gone to the ER? I'm pretty sure they're legally bound to treat everyone who walks in with a problem.
Debt is better than death, and from everything I've heard, hospitals have a strong tendency to be nice about people who can only make small debt payments.
