FTFY. Religious nuts just have an unfortunate tendency to be the more visible ones.

Religious motives have been behind most life taking acts of terror(in the "West" at least) for a long while now. Unfortunately theres no sign of that changing... 

Probably, but nuts will bolt onto any kind of pretext that can sort-of justify their actions.

I don't know that I'm going to say too much if anything on this. "Punish homosexuals?" He also seems to like insurgents the US is fighting against.... Yup....
