according to Google the healthy weight for someone of my height and sex is 120-(something, perhaps just 120) pounds and I asked my mom if she thinks I'll ever get to be that weight and she said its probably not possible because  my dad was 6' and 140 pounds,

I'm giving my thoughts a lot of liberties and I'm completely incapable of seeing how you could be so underweight under the circumstances.

Uber and Lyft revealed their childish sides this week.

Or, depending on who you ask, more of their childish sides.

It's saddening to see a company that was initially so well recieved be so... immature...

For starters, apparently the Uber drivers have been pulling over WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING ROAD, exacerbating my city's current worries about traffic and the like.

Second, the companies invested $9 million to try to win the election for a background check proposition (Prop 1, as it's called). You shouldn't try to win votes with wallets, anyone who's any good by me can agree with that.

Third, they've left the city after blowing their $9 million, and to be honest those folks can blow me for all I care.

I mean, seriously. The fuck. I mean, I'm childish all the time, but not with things as serious as money or votes (not that I've a lot of experience with them due to my age).

Also, I just revealed the city I live in on the internet. Yay.

:I

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it's genetic, you're probably OK I guess?

Healthy weight charts are completely useless for individuals anyway - differences in musculature and individual build throw them off wildly - many (if not most) professional athletes would qualify as morbidly obese due to their sheer muscle mass. Those charts are more for analyzing populations where such things average out.

S'looking like one of the friendliest cats outside either has a badly broken rib or something like a tape worm. S'definitely sick, definitely hurting if touched in the notable area, definitely getting worse as well.

Worst part is I can't really justify taking him to the vet, just due to the costs involved and where money needs to be going instead. Looks a lot like he won't make the month, possibly not more than another week or two. Poor critter isn't even fully grown, yet...

Try contacting a vet anyway. A lot of them will take the cat in and fix it up/give it a good home. They tend to be animal lovers.

Yeah, thinking about it. Probably going to give it a shot in the morning... any that's within an hour or so's drive is all closed. Can't hurt to at least ask.

Doubtful that you'll never gain weight :O While genetics does play a major role in many things, you can help yourself by acting on it :)
Advance information by asking good friends who have access to specifics, and who can aid ya.

Also on a more recent note, maybe not giving hard conclusions will help more at this time. Allow space for more understanding. Talk to them, as you're not limited to how important you are because that's a secondary thing to what you can primarily do.

It's not your fault because things weren't done; expectations are things that are needed to be communicated rather than inferred (else it'll really pressure what's expected, because they are concepts defining a concept rather than an existing concept). Brush away any conclusion that puts you of lesser value.

....

*hugs*

They remember and mention you.  You're a thought.

I think you'd be welcome back should you go for it.

That's just my opinion, but nevertheless, here it is.

Also, seriously, you need to eat more.

I don't know about other people, but when someone tells me to eat more it makes me want to do the opposite.
Even worse when they just start giving me unasked for food and expecting me to eat it... ugh.

That's my mother sometimes. On the one hand, I'm a fairly light eater (which probably contributes to my slim frame), I'm plenty tall enough (tallest in my family - even surpassing my elder brother in height by an inch or two), and there are some kinds of foods that even a mother's touch can't make me enjoy (eggplant, certain fungi, non-dried seaweed, etc.). On the other hand, it's mother's cooking, I can get pretty hungry from time to time, and... well, it's Mom.
