Cinder's male though

And transitioning to female solely so people will find you attractive is both terrible and misguided

I'm not sure how many of you were affected by Monty's death, or if anyone here even knows of him, but every day since his passing over a year ago, my thoughts will eventually find their way back to him.

I'm always wishing I could bring him back somehow, even though I know it's not possible. Monty was, is, and always will be a legend, a legend people can follow and one day surpass, but moving forward never felt as hard as today.

I believe that the human spirit is indomitable. If you endeavor to achieve, it will happen given enough resolve. It may not be immediate, and often your greater dreams is something you will not achieve within your own lifetime. The effort you put forth to anything transcends yourself, for there is no futility even in death. -Monty Oum

well, there was a school party on a boat yesterday, which was a good reminder that nobody is attracted to me.

so i ended up chilling at the prow for over an hour. at some point the only people standing there were me and my best friend and my crush and one of her friends. my best friend left to get his jacket, and her friend left too. so we were standing alone there for a bit. nothing happened, because she rejected me and im trying to get over it.

but now im naturally feeling conflicted. after all, i wasn't even literally rejected, just in a way i sort of had to take that way. should i have done anything. is this some sort of signal? i have absolutely no clue. i don't even know how im supposed to act around her anymore. but probably im just being far too desperate for any sign of attention from anyone.

Holy shit, I've been really unfair to a lot of people in my lifetime. I complain a lot that I have no real friends any more, but I've brushed aside a lot of people that would have loved nothing more than to hang out with me 24/7, even some girls that weren't bad looking at all in hindsight.

I'm kind of an asshole.

No wonder I hardly have any friends, I kinda deserve it.

Hospital managed to get it back down to something relatively sane (i.e. it was still over 200, but considering...) and they ended up coming home the same day (if fairly late at night), so I guess it's sorta' okay. Now just comes the part where everyone tries (for about the seven hundredth time) to get the stubborn bugger to actually take care of themselves :-\

Just wanted to poke that whatever you call yourself mirrors the perception you see of yourself. You're not that, don't confuse a need for acknowledgement or sociability with selfishness or otherwise when the current environment may not be that conducive to meet those needs. Improve thyself in the meantime.

Because whatever you call yourself, there's always at least one person listening, and always at least one person giving those details.
Describe attitude instead of covering it with a You.

As for the "bringing him back" thing, while that is impossible, should there ever be a computer program designed to choreograph epic fights, we know what to name it  ;)

I wish there was an anger-based thread.

I'm doing a group project, one person has posted their 1/4 of the essay. It's 300 words and filled with parenthesis saying [please add here] or [please expand] or somesuch. I've done my piece, the biggest one at around 1300 words. Not a huuuuge amount, but still a lot given it's only a 3000 word essay and there are four of us. So now I'm writing out her part too, burning it like it could breed, so I can start again. The problems she had with finding the price of things I fixed by simple google searches, and a single phone call to a museum. Literally, she just could not be bothered. If I weren't marked on her contribution as well, I'd leave her to her own floundering.

Most of the work in this "group" project has been done by me. It was my idea for the original project, it's my suggestions that have shaped everybody else's work, and now it turns out that my already bigger piece will be made bigger by other people not pulling their weight.

I have the slight impression i'm slowly turning into an asshole. For the most part, i'm kinda apathetic and, because of it, i can be rude sometimes. Most people already have set the image on their heads that i'm a bad person and, because i don't want to hurt anyone, i isolate myself from them and i try to not  interfere with any of their business. Obviously, i do have to interact with them sometimes and, most of the times, it's just odd. I have few friends and they hang out with me because they also don't have many options. I do have a very deep friendship with one of them though and he helps me a lot when i'm feeling down. But i know i can't always count with him. He has more things to do and for most of the day i can't talk with him.
I wish i could be more friendly, but it just feels so fake every time i try it. I can't meet new people, i'm very shy and because of this i can't approach girls. I don't know anyone who shares similar tastes or thoughts. Most people i meet are VERY different from me. I don't think i'm superior to anyone in any field, i just find hard meeting new people and even harder approaching girls. I had some horrible thoughts in the past of what i should do and they only made me worse, but i got over them. Every now and then i find myself sinking into the same negative thoughts. Life now just seems to becoming more mundane, dull, negative and unrewarding. I thought multiple times on giving up, but i know it's not the answer.

If I were in your position, I'd just destroy all of my work and screw over the entire group, because they don't deserve to get anything from work they didn't do.

Don't destroy your work.

Submit their work with their names on it, and yours with your name on it, and then the full product.  Maybe with a version where you printed out the edits with Track Changes too.

Also, @Magnumcannon:As someone who really doesn't talk to people IRL that much, I can empathize.  (Equally so with the talking to members of the opposite sex, heh.)  It's for different reasons in my case, but I agree that it sucks.

Practice saying 'Hi' to people, maybe.
