I'm... not entirely sure if this is the right place for it, but if any B12ers are up near fort mcmurray, alberta, I hope you're safe and not, ah. On fire. Apparently there's some pretty serious flames happening around there. Something like 90k people evacuated, areas of the city seeing 90+% loss of buildings, nasty business. Know we've got some canada folks, so... stay as safe as possible, if you're nearby.
Oh wow, that's pretty bad.

I really need a friggin' drink, but I always have sore throat after that. And I've barely recovered from being severly sick, so my voice still sounds like a broken whistle.
Also, the inability to formulate precisely why I need a friggin' drink didn't make things better. No, I don't have a drinking habit. It's more about the long list of things, and I don't know which ones are important and which ones are not. Whatever.

*applies $5 beer, because seriously the place I'm going to is selling those today*

My Sad is that five dollars is cheap for beer (in terms of bar/restaurant prices) in this shitty country, as opposed to the US where that seems to be about normal once you factor in exchange rate.

In the US, at least my part of it, $5 is average casino/stadium/event price for domestics. $3 pitchers are much more common.

i can't calm down.

it's been this way for a while, but it's been harsher today than most days. i've not found a job yet, not after my bro practically blew up on me without giving me a chance to speak and defend myself.

and i have no idea how i'm supposed to do this anyway; i hate my mother and yet ive been associated with her due to my previous leanings and her apparent, ancient favoritism on me. it's even so fucking obvious she's a lying twit; lying even if I know the happenings behind.

so, i dont think i can call because that will just turn me into a justifying fest where my bro possibly will put the blame on me. they've already removed me from facebook and steam i'm not sure if i'm supposed to care at this point. i probably still gravitate on caring but damn if it doesn't put a mental toll on me

i need to find a job so i can fund drinking myself away

I've got no advice to offer, but I can at least be someone to vent at if you need.

I did mention the exchange rate... the beer in question was $3.50 USD (for a tall can) which worked out to be about five Australian dollars when I was over there. How large is a pitcher? If it's anything like what we call a jug that is an excellent price.

A standard pitcher is 4 pints (a pint is the standard volume of a "tall" can over here). 4 pints is roughly equal to 1.9 liters.

Oh, American pints.
1.9 litres is about 3 and a third Imperial pints.

I am suddenly confused.  There's non-American pints?

A pint is 1/8th of a gallon. Gallons are still used to an extent in Britain and Canada as well as the US, but the former nations use the Imperial gallon instead of the American one - an Imperial gallon is 4.54609 liters while an American gallon is 3.785 liters. Thus all measures derived from the Imperial gallon, such as pints, are roughly 20% bigger than those derived from the American one.

I had one of those "special" programing tests where you write the whole code on paper without touching the computer. Now that I got home I decided to test what I wrote (or what I remember writing at least) and dear God I messed up so bad.

They weren't even small erros like missing a } or ) or whatever. I straight up got whole sections wrong.
E.g. checking if (total % 2 == 0) instead of (i % 2 == 0) or using 'else' instead of 'else if' conditions.
