Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I hate the fact that I can calm myself down so much even during chaotic times. I should be feeling anxiety, despair and grief right now, instead of being emotionally blunted that... it feels like nothing happened. But stuff did. And God knows how long this will go.

I hate that it's impolite to want to exclude yourself from social situations

Yes I want to go squat in my room with the headphones on, I'm gone for hours every day with my own obligations, let alone everybody else's obligations that I get roped into

Fuck off and let me watch a movie or two before the next dumb bullshit

"Smash a pav" is the correct terminology, I believe.

Also in actual Sads, been lying in bed all day and I am still sick.
Not quite as bad as I was earlier, sure, but still feeling quite unwell. Just eating some beans (so that I could take some medicine) and then I'm going to lie in bed some more, with as many available blankets as I can wrap around my already-overdressed body.

Fuck's a pavlova?
It's a cake made from egg whites and sugar, kinda like a giant meringue. Normally served with cream and strawberries/kiwifruit. Basically the best thing ever.
