Bored eh?  What if I said Wendy's fries are objectively better in every way?  We could have a silly argument, take our minds off things.

Not long after returning from work, just as I was pulling into the driveway, I saw, and had to clean up, what remains of one of my cats off the road. Fortunately, the corpse was whole, but still; they were still flexible and warm as I was cleaning them up and at least containing them in a bag (haven't decided on a burial plot yet), meaning they probably died no longer than an hour before my arrival home (heck, I probably even saw the car that hit them on my way back), even 15-odd minutes before I arrived back home. At least they got to enjoy a good night with their sibling in my room for at least one more night. You will be missed. You were taken too soon.

EDIT:
Make matters worse, the other cat's now eating alone, and I also got too used to hearing them ask to be let inside. It'll be awhile before I can get over that.

Nah, I gotta agree with Rolan here. McDonald's are great, no doubt, but Wendy's fries are the perfect mix of crispy and fluffy, and they get seasoned with sea salt. You get fewer fries for the price, but they're individually larger and you make up for it with quality.

In NZ the best chips are usually ones made at non-chain fish'n'chip shops. All those Murican fast food places serve rubbery and oily trash.

What kind of weird place is America that McDonalds chips are good? O_o There's a burger chain here that does slightly greasy fast food style chips far better, a fish chain that does crispy fluffy chips far better, and pretty much any place will give you more than McDonalds.

Ok, pros and cons of Wendy's fries, vs McDonalds fries.
One thing to keep in mind is if you get them take-out and dont eat them until you get home, they will be cold no matter which one you get.

Wendy's Pros
Thicker, so make better poutine
Crisp outside every time
Don't go cold and hard as fast
 
Wendy's Cons
Not salty enough
Hot oil sometimes gets into pockets in the fries and burns your mouth unexpectedly
Become as sharp as knifes if they get cold
Cant tell fresh batch from old

McDonald's Pros
Soft, melt in your mouth, and bendy when fresh
Not fresh but still hot ones taste great and are better for having with Vinegar or Ketchup
Nice and Salty
Kinda repeatable? Not great, but better reheated than Wendy's reheated. You do need to refrigerate if you want to reheat later

McDonald's Cons
Never crisp
Horrible poutine
Cool too fast

So which is better to me? It's situational, but if I want Poutine, Wendy's is definitely better, if the fries are fresh McDonald's definitely better. All other times its a tie?

And it happened again, not sure if it was bugs crawling out of the pillow this time, but something certainly got me to jump out of the bed in panic in the middle of the night again. I'm not sure what's causing this crap all of a sudden, but it's not fun at all.

Bigger, thicker chips are far better.
I find that McDonalds chips and other thin chips (although especially McDonalds ones) are super oily, usually dry, bland and covered in salt.
Even KFC/Red Rooster chips are better. Oh, but there are plenty of great places around here selling good chips- Lord of the Fries is my favourite, because all their food (which includes burgers, hotdogs, nuggets and onion rings in addition to chips) is vegetarian/vegan.
